Disgraceful that Pep plays him instead of commited players like Stones or even THB and Tosin (who left us despite being a huge City fan). Pep clearly stated that he doesn’t want to use players that’s not commited and doesn’t want to be here (re Sane), yet here we are.

There’s no chance in hell Pep would play Garcia if he was going to any other club than Barca. Lost out on a fee in the summer which pretty much means that we’re now paying millions to develop a player for another team, while also weakening ourselves. He shouldn’t even be on the bench for the EDS, when he’s not commited. He sat in that Spain press conference and bragged about how he had rejected us. It is geniunely painful to see someone play for the club you love more than anything when he doesn’t even want to be here. Pep’s gonna continue playing him though, while Stones just gets worse and worse confidence

You’ll find that he actually made an inch perfect tackle and got the ball. He is incredibly slow though.

As covered at half time, he got the man first and then the ball.

I can see why Pep likes him, cos he’s very comfortable bringing the ball forward, but his passes in the 1st half were either to team mates under heavy pressure from behind, and who promptly lost it, or they sailed straight out of play for goal kicks. Defensively he never won a header (not that he was alone in that regard) and again in the 1st half in particular most of our defensive problems came down his flank, with his lack of pace exposed.
However error prone Stones is, personally I think it’s piss poor that Garcia gets the nod over him

Tosin - tall, strong, good in the air, decent pace, handled rough championship football very well, good on the ball, passionate, captained every youth level at City, is a city fan.

Can someone explain why we let tosin go for next to nowt and kept Garcia when offered €15m and will go for a big fat 0.

In the end he is only fourth choice so it is only the concurrent absence of LaPorte and Ake that is subjecting us to him in the XI.

Still, a single minute played by him does precisely nowt to advance the future interests of THIS club. Which might be okay if he was some amazing talent or whatnot. But he isn't.

At the margin, is he THAT much better than Stones, THB, or the departed Tosin? The latter two conceivably could have had future value and could have developed. Even Stones, who is fairly young, as well. Well you've utterly ruined him as an asset surely.

So all the negatives - fucking off Tosin, Stones, blocking THB's path, and as well the EXAMPLE that you can blatantly disrespect our club and suffer no consequences for it. All of this so we can see this slow, undersized little Catalan compensate for his shortcomings, calculate the angles JUST RIGHT and make a proper challenge every now and again. Baffling.
