I think he could be an excellent appointment for them as long as the club and more importantly the fans give him a minimum of 5 years before they expect any results by way of silverware.
They need at least 6 top drawer players to mount any sort of serious challenge and the players they buy need to fit into a way of playing set out by the manager. Every club will be out to rinse them with transfer fees and if they miss out on the CL football all the better. It's easy to forget the players who are likely to leave this summer. While they are not all first choices they all will need to be replaced. They won't replace them over one window and so some will linger like a bad smell or the squad will be weakened significantly.

In all fairness, he seems a decent appointment. Now they just need to get rid of the other dozen or so influential people at the club that have undermined every other half competent manager they’ve had.
