Qestion we may have to prepare for is who do we target if Haaland goes elsewhere

I dont want us back in for Kane, come and gone that scenario for me.

We will have the young Brazilian forward Kayky arriving earlier than was originally agreed, i have read he will go straight into the eds and not loaned out. So if he hits the ground running he could be an option next summer even though he is still young

Then another forward may start hitting the headlines by the time next summer arrives

Not sure Kayky will get a work permit he may not have enough points without being loaned out first.

We should fully focus on developing Delap if we don’t sign Haaland.

Agreed. We don’t have the pull of a Real Madrid/Barca and also won’t pay the wages they offer.
So that’s uff tv then when it comes to the really top players we just don’t compete but we look for scraps round up he leagues and hope we find a gem . It has served us well in the past but times are changing now and also no point always looking for pep players as he will most probably be on his way after next year .

We will continue to look for Pep players, because he might stay, secondly they are very good and adaptable players, thirdly whoever come after Pep will play a similar possesion stlye so the players will be fine.

People do know that Haaland has a say in where he goes right?
His agent will no doubt push him towards the money, but if he goes “nah I WANT to go somewhere else” then he will money isn’t always the be all and end all for everyone. And players don’t always do what the agent demand of them.
PS I’m not saying he’s nailed on to come here, just that there’s a chance a football players choice goes beyond money
Just my opinion, but I reckon Alf will have a big influence in his decision too, he'll be offered a fantastic package regardless.

There are a lot of reasons Haaland could/would want to sign for us in and iff the field. However if there is any uncertainty around Pep being here or not that may not help. Pep has two seasons left on his contract. I know he clarified his comments previously but he clearly has ambitions elsewhere and also wants time out of football to rest. If Pep decides his time is up this could act negatively against us as he is clearly a huge draw for the vast majority of players.
