It's a fair assumption. Regardless of how the outside world like to portray the club, the truth is we are world class pretty much from top to bottom and players soon get to realise that when they've been in the fold for a while.Our history of letting players leave when they want to leave for a reasonable fee “should” be enough to satisfy any concerns on the haaland representative side. But realise thats naive. 100% there will be a release clause.
But if he signs on for 6 years and wants to leave after 3 years then fine and we’ll move on. Suspect it will be a £100m+ fee anyway and a “non-prem” clause for our safety.
Expecting any player to devote half/most of their career to us is asking a lot. Especially for a player of his level. We’ve been spoiled over the years.
I think its fair to assume Silva, Aguero etc werent signing thinking theyd do 10 years. Nothing saying the same wont happen again here. Player (and agents) get well looked after
