Close the thread...umpteen pages of Pogba, Sanchez, Maguire et al. He's going to the rags. ;)
the power in that
the power in that
Probably been mentioned somewhere else, and it’s purely wild speculation on my part, but the strange timing of the Aguero announcement seems like a signal to Haaland. Publicly making way for him to be the new main man for City. Was listening to the 93:20 pod about Aguero leaving and Jack Gaughan mentioned how this suggests that they are further down the line with a replacement than we realize isn't this what @Zin 'messiah' Zimmer said a week or so ago?
Probably, but I feel given his statement last week saying it was more advanced than many realize, and now this, It seems to me that the club must be very very confident in him or someone else coming in this summer.Probably been mentioned somewhere else, and it’s purely wild speculation on my part, but the strange timing of the Aguero announcement seems like a signal to Haaland. That explains why no Mother wants to mess with us. Hard to argue with a sawn-off.Just as well Omar and Txixi do our deals so.
It just be close, lol....
It just be close, lol....
Lol “damning verdict” being “he’s a great coach”. They really wrote a whole article because of a misunderstanding about the term “closed the book”![]()
Raiola hands Man City blow in Haaland race with blunt Guardiola claim
Mino Raiola has endured a tumultuous relationship with Pep Guardiola over the yearswww.express.co.uk
This quote is even better than the “shit person but great Coach” at no point has he dealt Manchester city a blow, in fact I read it as he's willing to work with city. Here is the rest of the quote from the article and it is also very important; and telling:
Raiola: “With Mr Ferguson or Guardiola, I have this problem — and I think that it is changing now — that (they believe) we should submit to them because ‘otherwise, tomorrow, you don’t do a player with Manchester United’. I don’t give a fuck if I never do another player with Manchester United. I’m not in their hands. I’m independent. We have only one party that we take care of: our players. And as long as our players like us, you do what you have to do.”
Interesting that he slags the rags and that he says the dynamic is changing. That clearly sounds like a Ferguson tactic moreso than Pep and the fact that it’s changing implies that big name coaches no longer blacklist agents like they used to.
istree doesn’t count ?Who knows if this is happening or not but personally I did think his dad's comments about the importance of the direction the club has been going in the last 10 years, was very very encouraging.
In one fell swoop, he squashed the Ole Gunnar Solskjær relationship angle by saying a manager can get sacked at any moment, so the clubs overall philosophy and trajectory is important. And at the same time, is there a club in world football which has not seen a more positive transformation over the past 10 years? A club with a better set up, better long term strategy and better outlook? I would say no, and it would seem to me that it was a VERY strong hint that he may be coming to us.
I'm sure you've seen it but in case not, here's what he said:
"You have to go to a club where the whole club wants you, not just the coach," he said.
“I think that’s the most important thing, in addition to how the club has been over the last five or 10 years and what direction they’ve taken."
Yes, we’ll do the deal but no where close to £600k per week.I just can't see us paying upwards of 130 million and 28 million a year in wages! That's insanity in today's economic climate and it's not how we work. We may cover the wages if Ferna and Sergio leave but that's adding 25 mill a year to the amortisation on a five year deal. That would destroy our recruiting strategy and wage structure in one go. Notwithstanding that greedy **** Raiola would be into us for about 30 mill as well.
Does anyone think we'll do this deal?
First of all don’t let a The Sun article make up your opinion on anythingI just can't see us paying upwards of 130 million and 28 million a year in wages! It must be close, lol....
They’re very transparent... I’ll give them that![]()
Haaland can be Aguero's successor but rivals United ready to ruin that dream
THE iconic 93:20 moment takes pride of place among the huge banners on the side of the Etihad Stadium. But in two months, Sergio Aguero — the man twirling his shirt around his head on that May day …www.thesun.co.uk
Rags about to break our dream lol
