I'm sticking to my guns in saying that we're not getting Haaland but if you believe we will I don't see why today's news should dissuade you. Perfectly natural for a top young player to consider his options.

The fact remains that no other club can offer the financial package (for the player and Dortmund), has a glaring need for a striker in his vein, a strong supporting squad with the ability to win trophies, and a second to none manager, coaching staff, and supporting infrastructure. Oh and the cherry on top is his dad played for the club and he clearly has some level of affinity for us.

His representatives will meet with every club under the sun, very publicly. They will drive a hard bargain. That is their job. But no club makes more sense for Erling then City - on so many levels - and this might be hubris on my part but I'd be very surprised if he doesn't end up here.

Are you expecting a round medley tour of all the big interested clubs? I can’t recall such things in any previous transfer saga. I think this is linked to Barca elections and other clubs will not want to be part of a publicly held soap opera. Yes they are all interested but no one wants egg on their face.

It would probably suit Raiola for him to stay another year. Whether or not it really suits Dortmund or Haaland are the questions. Dortmund probably depends just how much they are offered or how much Haaland wants to push a move this summer. How much Haaland wants to move would probably depend whether he preferred Spain and wanted to wait until the Spanish clubs could afford him.
Making it about maths I’d say the chances of him moving this summer is about 75%, the chance of him coming to us if its this summer about 80%. So about 80% of 75% gives me 60% chance we get him this summer.

I would imagine they'll talk to us last, when they know what all the other clubs are proposing.
Seeing as we are the front runner in this transfer. They can sit down with us and put all the offers from the other clubs on the table in front of us, so we can see where we stand on this transfer. imho
