He’s out of this world.
We were the first team he has faced in the UCL against, but to claim he went missing is just wrong.Haaland went missing in both games against us
That should add some uncertainty to this transfer. He’s just fuckin murdered Upamecano
Say you don’t understand why Pep played without a striker this season without saying it.Wouldn't be surprised if we went for none of the discussed strikers. We won the title and at least one knockout competition playing a false 9. Pep obviously rates the tactic and could prefer to bring in a class number 10. Or possibly another wide player that has left and right options.
Think we were the first team that prevented him from scoring. But I could be wrong. We were the first team he has faced in the UCL against, but to claim he went missing is just wrong.

He made Upamecano look a bit foolish. The same Upamecano that will join BayernHe’s out of this world.

I get all that but if a striker is going to cost over £100M Pep could just take the pragmatic approach and carry on with the false 9 tactic.IMO this is getting things completely the wrong way round.
What Pep managed to pull off this season is incredible precisely because this side is fatally flawed by the lack of a striker.
This might end up our most successful year on paper, but the reality is we've not been great. The quality of our football compared to 2018 and 2019 is miles off.
What are we, 35 goals down on a good season? Drawn and lost 10 games? So many of our wins are by 1 goal, real nail biting finishes.
It's a triumph of Guardiola's ability to adapt and overcome problems that he's managed his way around it, but the answer is not to make that disadvantage permanent...it's to fix the problem. Get a striker. Score 100+ goals in the league and stop needing to rely on the defence playing out of their skin.

Even if that were the case, it’s a no-brainerwould city pay £100million + for a 5 year deal knowing he may not sign a new deal after and look to 1 of the Spanish clubs for a bigger pay package
