Says he decided to be a footballer when he was young when he saw his dad play, and wanted to be bigger and better than him. The journalists jokingly asked "Do you not think you are a bigger star than Alfie already?" and Haaland quite seriously responded "He has 34 international apps, and over 200 games and a lot of goals in the best league in the world, there is a lot of work to get to that level yet"

He definitely has his sights on the Premier League

I think if United have a good season - actual title contenders or even champions, he will end up at the swamp. I just cannot see us paying the wages he will demand, not to mention the agent fees etc. Hope I'm wrong but I can see it happening.

Issue is where does that put Ronaldo? I doubt they play him on the wing.

As much as I'd love us to sign him, I just can't see it - either now or next summer. We struggle to get those marquee deals over the line and I really can't see this one being any different, especially as there will be multiple clubs after him. Hopefully I'm wrong of course

I think we have played the rags with Ronaldo.

They are paying him crazy wages and for a minimum of 2 years and a option on another.

If the rags wanted Haaland, could they now afford his wages on top of Ronaldo, not sure they could.

They are already trying to clear Cavani out today.
