Erling Haaland

There's ten years between Kev and Haaland.

City will pay Haaland more than Kev, absolutely no doubt about that.

Haaland is a global commodity in demand and City must factor in the length of service they would get from him and quality during that time.

£385k sounds a lot (and it is) but De Gea and Rashford earn just ten grand a week less than that.

City must protect themselves over the first five years of his deal and that means paying him top rate.
Totaly agree I can't see what we pay Kev which is a very handsome fee has anything to do with this deal especially when he is the wrong side of 30

Kev is being paid for his work & he is only going 1 way in the next vouple of seasons when a player like Haaland will get better

I've stated a few times, even though Raiola is meeting interested parties in Jan, I don't believe there is any chance of him moving next month.

I think City are happy to go with what we have, knowing Haaland is off the market at this present time.

City have been offered Vlahovic and that is the only shock deal I could see in Jan, and that would be a sickener in terms of Haaland for me.

It will be Haaland vs Vlahovic for best striker in the world in a couple years time I think.

Vlahovics attitude is why he will go far in football. He was asked about Haaland and replied

"He's faster than me, but in everything else we compete"

He turns up an hour and a half before fiorentina training to do finishing and shooting drills.

After Milan he put a post up of a lion on his instagram in response to Zlatans post. After fiorentina beat them. Also said this

"The match against Milan was a dream, but as in any job, what has been has already been forgotten and the most important thing is what has to come. I try not to follow the media very much, but somehow they always manage to reach me. Either my friends send them to me or I see it on social media. I have to continue training even harder and with even greater desire and will and I hope to continue like this"

Haaland has missed 7 recent games for Dortmund with a hip flexor injury and many attribute that to Norway’s failure to qualify for the World Cup. He is only 21, time will tell if he maintains his physical levels of Ibrahimovic with his disciplined martial arts background and I hope he does. Ronaldo is a completely different player who has involved from a winger to a striker over a long career, I really don’t see any parallels, he plays the game in more controlled manner and doesn’t impose himself physically like Haaland. Costa has had plenty of injuries including 6 months off with a Cruciate Ligament Rupture.

Look I hope we get him and he has an awe inspiring record breaking career with us but he is not superman and we need to be wary of his limitations as well as his considerable talents.
Some people just speak far too much sense. Well said.

I’d love us to get Haaland, but if we don’t manage it then I hope we get Vlahovic.

What I think will happen is we will get Haaland and Vlahovic will end up at a team like Tottenham which is above Fiorentina but still a stop gap for a couple of years before moving to a bigger club. Or maybe Arsenal if they get UCL for the experience. But who knows, as an alternative he certainly is at the top of my list

So if we sign Vlahovic then Haaland chase is done

If this is the way we go & still move out Torres & possibly Sterling, Fern retires & no doubt Newcastle & maybe West Ham will push for Ake then City will still have big money Available for 1 other big signing
Problem we have is Having Jesus still as our only recognised striker with Delap having to go out on loan surely to get proper minutes?

The Sterling 1 we are covered imo with Palmer, Grealish, Phil & Mahrez but just going with Vlahovic who could take a season to bed in I'm not sure???

I guess it may come down to 2nd half of the season & covid

Money will be lost for all teams so buying once again might become very very difficult or teams may have no choice but to sell

Not a chance teams like Barca, Bayern, Juve go mad in the Summer they don't have the finances especially if covid hits again

Guess we will see around mid January, would expect bids to come in for City players & bid or bids in for anyone we are after??

I don't expect Torres to be let go unless £££££ is guaranteed I wouldnt give Barca the steam off my shit other way round they would be fucking laughing at us

watching dortmund and they are so bad defensively lol. tbf they have their 3 best CBs out

Let's not get giddy until the cheque clears.
If we don’t bring in a striker in January even though we are getting rid of a player that can get us goals and we will need that in the coming longs we wont be cheering because you don’t weaken a spot which is already weak because that is bad business .

If Torres goes we have already agreed to bring in a replacement.
