if he chooses City, we win the CL, the prem, the domestic cups, spot-the-ball,
tour de france, grand national and the sweep at the Dog and Duck.
If he doesn't, we'll 'ave to settle for the football stuff. Over many years spectating, i have only ever seen one player that " almost" guaranteed success, that was peak Messi, if Haaland ever reaches that level (who knows) then i would hope it's as a City player. If he doesn't sign for us, the world wont end, we will be in contention for the prem and european honours etc. the progress of the last ten years will see to that. Tantalising, frustrating situation. Impatience is a bastard :)

Fair on assumptions on his preference.

Misplaced on what English teams he has an affinity for. He has said and showm enough on both Leeds and City for claims like that to have some substance. A few on here have shared them a number of times on here.

Rightly enough whether it has anything to do with where he wants to play is down to individual guesswork. But would not at all surprise me if he did join if he then went on to claim in interviews he supported City as a child. And the age he was when the club hit the exciting spell, why wouldnt he have?

True.
The kids around my way are running around in fake shirts picked up in the Kusadasi Friday Market.
None of them have any affinity to Besiktas or Fenerbace.
There's even one of Rivaldo but the kid has no chance of playing with Brazil.
Haaland and his team will rely more on the stability of the manager, Champions league qualification over a period of time, along with wages and bonuses.

Speaking back in 2017 to Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten while playing for Molde, Erling Haaland said: "I want to be the best. The dream is to win the Premier League with Leeds.

He absolutely did support Leeds and City. I think you can find it on BM but Alfie wrote a guest piece about his time at City in 2014 and explicitly stated Erling was a City fan and was running around celebrating when the Aguero goal happened. He's been part of a City fan club, liked loads of pro City tweets, been to games, wore multiple City shirt etc. He's also stated himself he wants to win the PL with Leeds and wore their shirt just this past year.

He has admitted in the past he supported Leeds but I suppose that’s not what we want to hear . As for the Real Madrid everyone knows it his preferred destination and if they weren’t getting the French lad from psg this deal would already be done . He might cone to city and I would be delighted but I’m not holding out for it and tbh I prefer Harry Kane .

How do you know Madrid is his preferred destination? let alone everyone. I'm not saying City is either btw. Just that nobody knows that.
 
Whether we get Haaland or not I would be very very surprised if we go into next season without a world class center forward so all good..

Yes and no. He once had a badly translated interview when he was about 16 in which he was asked what would be "his dream" and he said win the league with Leeds but the context was that winning with Leeds was unlikely and City were already dominating which people don't ever seem to mention. Like many young lads who moved around a lot, he supports more than one team.

Here's what we do know. He grew up between Manchester and his Norwegian home as his parents lived apart. He used to regularly attend City matches as a kid and as a teenager. There are probably now 10+ pictures of him as a kid wearing and playing football in City shirts. There are pictures of him at numerous City games including the Carabao Cup Final where he was wearing City colours. He was in a Man City Supporters Group up until 2 years when somebody noticed and he was forced to leave. Before his social media was taken over by a PR firm as he became a huge player, he regularly liked City comments and posts from City players. He also had a slight bit of a nerd out moment when he came over from Dortmund and stepped onto the Etihad pitch.

Now maybe this all means nothing but I'm very much in the "if it quacks like a duck" phase. You don't join a City Supporters Group if you're not a City fan imo

Not saying you’re wrong, but you’ve provided absolutely no evidence whatsoever for this ‘everyone knows he prefers Madrid’ statement - if everyone does know, as you claim, it should be fairly easy for you to back up your conviction.

So far, I’ve seen nothing credible which would support your argument - but it’s entirely possible you’ve seen a statement I’ve missed.

Haaland will not be coming to city,your missing one main problem, pep will not entertain fat boy,I’ll hold my hands up I was adamant he was going to bayern.
