never thought I would say this but i can't wait for it.
we need to rid ourselves of " non football " teams like Everton Southampton and the like.
we all pay good money to be entertained, some travelling hundreds of miles .
ok not ideal but i don't see Madrid and co serving up that shit.
let's leave the cheats to it .

I’m kinda of with Bill on this one I’m afraid in so much every PL teams earns hundreds of millions every season yet most seem to want to play like they earn a few grand.

It’s embarrassing at times watching teams that cost hundreds of millions play with a flat back 10!

Pity their poor fans having to endure it.
 
It’ll be 5 years before a pecking order emerges and you end up with the same shite of 3 or 4 teams dominating and the rest having to spoil.

I always find it funny when people moan about how the opposition plays, usually after it’s been successful.
 
The average ball-in-play in the Champions League is only 1 minute and 53 seconds longer than the Premier League average and is lower than City’s Premier League BIP stats (City’s Prem BIP average is 3 mins 58 secs longer than the average CL game), and that’s with no teams like Everton Southampton and the like.

There is very nearly just as much time-wasting in the CL as the Prem, to the point where it’s almost completely even. Second halves of European football are full of players sitting on the floor for no reason, taking an age to take a goal kick or free kick, pretending to not know they’re being substituted… and that’s with what are supposed to be the best teams in Europe.

Madrid were the worst of the lot last season, City tried to smother the game with 100% possession, and they had 11 behind the ball to do the same.

Possession with no guile is as bad.

I could never bring myself to do it but I kept meaning to re-watch the second half of extra time and time how long the ball was in play. Felt like about three minutes watching it live.
