It was the same model, and yes very alarming. Boeing 737 MAX 8.

Absolutely awful, can’t imagine the amount of pure fear those poor people went through. RIP and condolences to everyone involved. Just awful.

Far too early to know if there is a common technical issue with the aircraft.
