Etihad Atmosphere - 2021/22

Would love nothing more than for are support to be like a ranges etc but probably never happen, the cultures not there no more maybe because the club have supressed it. So many factors, a whole stand in a ground 50000+ designated to family’s ffs, any other clubs similar to us do that?. We don’t even have a home end.
Going to the match for me is not just about football but atmosphere aswell, it’s like a chore going at times. Even outside the ground couldn’t look anymore bleak.

when we have atmospheres as bad as wolves it makes me cringe, it’s almost like we’re Leipzig and we came about 5 years ago. Anyway will always love city and the owners know that.

It’s not difficult.Simple supply and demand.If you want a full ground (and future support) lower the prices until the ground is full.Oh and there is a chance of a full ground that people may spend money on food and drink if prices are reasonable (this is not the case at the moment so people go to the pubs).The question is do the club care if the ground is full?

Perhaps you should find another team to support then assuming you don't already.

More than 52,000 tickets were sold for yesterday’s game (including season cards). Some of those seats were sold twice.

I agree a lot of the tickets are too expensive for many fans but the cheapest areas of the ground are rarely packed out.

Running an OSC Branch of around 140 members, people share their tickets for home games they can’t make at a reduced price or sometimes for free. People who are struggling with ticket prices could inquire whether Blues in their local Branches support each other so going to the game is more affordable.

Many won’t be aware OSC Branches do this because of the obsession with away tickets.

Here’s the reality:

Option A
42,000 x £50 = £2,100,000
£2,100,000 x 19 = £39,900,000

Option B
52,000 x £30 = £1,560,000
£1,560,000 x 19 = £29,640,000

£39,900,000
- £29,640,000
= £10,260,000

The club couldn’t give two shits if the ground is full. They couldn’t give two shits if they’re pricing out people who would come and create an atmosphere.

They’re thinking short-term, what’s the best thing for the bottom line this year.

Because we’re successful and playing great football, they can charge £50 a game and there’s enough demand at that price to make it profitable.

The sad reality is, when we go shit, ticket prices will drop, and in turn, the atmosphere will get better.

The blame has to go somehwere, be that towards our fans or the board for pricing the tickets. Yesterday shocked me a bit, you often get empty seats in patches, but that was the worst I’ve seen for home game for ages. Somethings not right, we can easily fill the stadium every week, but there’s a problem that needs fixing.
 
When there’s 1000’s of empty seats it’s obviously going to sap any energy the crowd might have.

There genuinely needs to be something done about pricing of matchday tickets.

12:30 Sat games and midweek games that aren’t cat A should be capped at £25.

Get the thing packed out every week create demand that way.
