I’ve defended early leavers in the past, I understand some reasons and never understand how angry it makes fully grown adults. I thought yesterday was a little disappointing though, second to last home game of the season. A win to put us firmly in the driving seat and Sterling adds a fifth to a half empty ground. I hate them cult bastards but that wouldn’t have happened there. Great weather, great result, not too late for kids so no real reason for that amount of people to leave. I’m sure there are some with actual reasons, not that many though.

To be honest I thought Newcastle fans were very loud today. One of the best this season considering you were getting beat heavily.

Cheers. It helps when you travel being 99.9% certain of a hiding .
Always had time for City. Maine Road was a great, atmospheric old ground (although a very hairy visit at times back in the day).
Thought the general atmosphere yesterday was better than on previous Etihad visits.
Hope you see the job through.

I was in 220 yesterday, 2 blokes sat 3 seats from me arrived about 10 minutes after kick off, they left there seats 15 minutes later and returned on 57 minutes ( I know it was 57 minutes, I said to my son these pricks are back) they left on 82 minutes, I was fucked off having to keep standing up to let them pass, why do they bother, they contribute nothing to the atmosphere, I know it's there money and they can do what they want but surely you can sit down/stand up for 90 minutes, get your monies worth, why people choose to drink that cats piss on offer at the stadium rather than watching pure poetry football totally baffles me.

My 12-year-old blurted out 'WHY ARE THEY LEAVING?' as the folk behind us got up on the 80th at the Watford game a couple of weeks ago. I felt embarrassed as we'd be chatting to them and they were lovely, but he had a point. Just feels disrespectful to the players and Pep to literally turn your backs on them when they've been giving their all for us. With travel, getting to the ground early, and getting home, a match will take over the day even if you live close by in Manc, so while you might want to beat the rush, does it really make that much difference? I could see how much Grealish in particular appreciated the fans that stayed to clap yesterday.

I hate it as well but it has happened as long as I have followed City. It is probably more noticeable in all-seater stadia. Maine Road was terrible for it in the 60s and 70s. The signal was about 10 minutes to go when all the invalid cars departed at once. You could be killed in the crush as the Main Stand moaners scrambled to get out. The score was irrelevant or the size of the crowd. I don't really understand it, perhaps we have a lot of alcoholics in our fanbase!
