Etihad Atmosphere - 2022/23

Just one question.

Surely you should be happy we won most of all yeah?
Yep I am mate trust me I was nervous before this game as a potential banana skin. I’m massively appreciative of what I get to watch week in and week out and can’t wait to go to Madrid on Tuesday and then Everton next weekend. I just want an atmosphere that matches the brilliant team we have on the pitch. I know everyone has different preferences and I don’t wanna shit on fellow fans either. I was just frustrated post match as it was a massive win and we are edging closer to an astonishing achievement and I think the team deserved a better atmosphere than they got

Was in 308 today, really poor up there.
It was a 3pm kick off on a Saturday, we don't get many of these, and the usual fire drill with 10-15 minutes remaining, they've paid their money and can do what they want, but it gets on my tits, stay to the end, back the team and applaud them for there efforts, the players much look at the end and think why do we bother.
Exactly. Those early leavers can’t really complain about the recent ticket price increase. Poor support considering we’re on for the treble. Fans need to give the boys an extra push as the legs get tired.

Utter shit. Embarrassing support. Home support doesn’t deserve this team. Never had there been a more accurate song for us at the moment than we only sing when we score… for a few minutes. Forget the excuses of happy clappy songs or anything else- load of rubbish… It’s purely and simple just poor support- 95% of the ground don’t sing
Sadly we had our arses handed to us up in SS3 today.

So much so that we couldn't really muster any piss taking going down the stairs.

Leeds were loud as fuck, typical gobby Yorkshire lads and were the best vocal lot this season by a mile.

As posted already, for the last half an hour yes.

And Forest were far better for the whole 90 mins.

If they think like that they can leave the club, but i highly doubt they do and it is just fans like you. The players get paid a shit load of money to play football, that is why they bother. Fans pay a shit load of money to watch them play football. If said fans want to leave 10 or 15 minutes early then it is their money and their choice. The players wont give a shit.

Maybe you hit the nail on the head when you said you was nervous. I think all of us are, the fans shown it today and I dare say on Wednesday if it would have got to 65mins and it still being 0-0 then anxiety takes over.
It's weeky bum time of the season, only natural that the nerves are ramped up, I was only saying surely the first thought is great we got the three points but everyone is built differently.

It's all perspective, I've read some posts which were made before I posted who aren't singing from the same hymn sheet as me by yourself & others up top.

Can't say I agree with most of the stuff posted but, I'm not dying in this hill.

Onwards and upwards, we probably nailed the title today.

Getting tiresome some of the comments in here. Everyone entitled to their opinion but alls I’ll say is good job some of you never came to Maine Road. Some atmospheres there were absolutely unbelievable but guess what, some were dead as a dodo. Nothing new.
Some games it bounces, some games it doesn’t. I, for one, don‘t want manufactured atmosphere that you see in Europe and even a few teams here, like Palace.
Leeds were noisy for about 30 minutes today, before they went behind and in the 2nd half when they thought the game was gone. Anyone that thinks they were anything better than average is deluded.
Anyway, I’ll carry on supporting the team, singing, cheering and enjoying myself, without feeling the need to monitor who is singing loudest, longest or who isn’t taking part.

You’d think that the fans would really get behind the team now that the treble is a real possibility. Sometimes it’s like they’re watching a mid table team with nothing to play for. As for the hundreds of early leavers why don’t they stay, get value for money and watch the “whole movie”.

Tourist central yet again today this is the direction the club has gone . Leeds fans made a bit of noise second half but so fucking what ? they are shit and are probably going to get relegated. Today was a huge game for them but you know what they were quiet as fuck for an age when they went 2 nil down. Big 3 points for us but it was just routine, what is the point of getting all giddy for that shower of shit Leeds Utd ??? We have been here so many times before over the last 12 / 13 years ! Atmosphere is brilliant and fit for any elite iconic world class football club when the big games come along , we get plenty of them to be fair . As a veteran of the early 70s MCFC the fantastic 80s when men were men and all sorts of hard core trouble came along as standard, the 90s which could have destroyed most die hard City fans then the beautiful dream that came true of the last 15 years or so what a roller coaster. These new self entitled City fans haven’t got a fucking clue !!! All said and done there are a lot of brilliant young generation fans the 18 to mid 20s who give it everything home and away and spend a hell of a lot of money doing so …… reminds me of when I was there age good luck to them .

I haven't read through all the replies but I was there today, block 119, lower tier South stand and the atmosphere was great almost all game. Lots of different parts singing constantly. It went a bit nervy after their goal but aside from that it was great. Leeds fans were very loud though as they always are. That didn't make our efforts poor.

It's just fans like me, what the fuck does that mean you bellend, Pep has mentioned the atmosphere on numerous occasions, like I said, people have paid their money and can come and go when they want, but I think it's shit and the players deserve better, and if the players think it's shit they should leave the club, give your head a wobble.

Hope they were being ironic when they started with “you sold your soul for this shit hole”. Elland Rd is up there with the worst shit holes in the league, the place needs to be condemned.
Moronic chant from a bunch of morons . Cries out jealously from a shit fan base that is hopefully going to get relegated.
Back in the day we could fight these cunts toe to toe outside Elland Road . Now they just blurt out shit songs …….

I'm sure because "red 2 hats" gives a shit, people who need to leave a little early (as it may save an hour on their journey home) will stay till the end so "red 2 hats" doesn't feel alone when clapping and wolf whistling the players.
You do you, red 2 hats, and let others do as they please. No need to get triggered by something so trivial.

Give me a break. Is that until they see the hundreds of thousands of pounds in their bank account?
