We had a perfectly good song which everyone knew the words to and joined in with Doo doo doo Pablo Zabaleta and then all the daft selfie video kids invented this silly overlong over wordy sweary Zaba chant which even name checks rags and which most of the ground still don’t know the words to.

It was an absolute crime that at his farewell game we just got a muffled version of that nonsense from the singing end rather than the whole ground belting out the original and better chant

Are you serious? That is by far one of our best songs. I really wonder how some fans find any enjoyment in going to games

The fun is when the whole ground or stand joins in and you get goosebumps. That can happen with doo doo doo Pablo Zabaletra or nah nah nah nah nah City but can't happen with the songs with loads of lyrics, Those songs are better saved for the concourse or the train.
Our job on Weds is purely and simply to give the lads that bit sxtra they might need. And ghat vomex from dvrryond joining in to make a wall of noise.

Not a massive fan of Blue Moon to be honest as it's too short to be an anthem and a bit monotonous. It can sound impressive at first but after repeating the same verse a few times it soon peters out.

Agree though, our chants are usually a lot more creative than most. I'm particularly partial to the ones that incorporate a bit of humour like the Balotelli one.

Some decent ones introduced this season like 'follow', 'best defence in Europe' and 'everywhere' by the Mac. Sound great at away games and beginning to get traction at home.

Our anthem should be The Hollies ‘He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother’.

It’s a better song than ‘Blue Moon’. Keep ‘Blue Moon’ by all means but I think ‘HAH,HMB’ is a much much better song by a Manchester band with City-fan members.



If we have to have some 5to3 karaoke, it should be that^!

Interesting choice mate. Could grow on me that.

I just fear we'd murder a great song by singing it quicker than a Scooter re-mix.
 
We need to let Rudiger know what we think of him on Wednesday night. Every time he gets near the ball he should be roundly booed.

1. He got away with near murder on KDB in the Champions League Final
2. He’d do it again on Haaland without hesitation on Wednesday
3. We need to make the atmosphere as hostile and unwelcoming as possible for them

I just hope an early Real Madrid goal, if they do score, doesn’t kill the atmosphere dead. It’s hard to get the atmosphere going again when the nerves and concern starts to kick in.

I can't stress this enough, we need to create an atmosphere on Wednesday.

And no, creating an atmosphere isn't a few hundred people singing Ederson and Ake for the whole game.

Creating an atmosphere is about the whole stadium belting out our club anthems and making madrid feel as unwelcome as possible.

It's already a tough game for madrid, but it's up to us fans to make it an IMPOSSIBLE game for madrid
 
I wish people would stop concentrating on certain songs.

A thread on BM about the atmosphere at the Etihad isn’t going to shape and change the atmosphere on Wednesday night with 50,000+ City fans, many who have managed to get a ticket because of the ticket sales fuck up, not knowing about BM or this thread. Let the atmosphere take care of itself and run it’s own course, including the songs sung.

I'm confident it will be electric. I was confident the Arse game would be good and you could feel it in the air before kickoff. Wednesday will be the same if not louder.
Let's bring it home against these media whores!
