Three best city atmosphere experiences of my life; city at Wembley in 99, final moments of 'that match' when Aguero scored and city v Hamburg. Stadium structure wasn't an issue for any of those games.
They do miss opportunities to make it better though. In SS3 you can't hear SS1 hardly at all. SS3 is noisy when it gets going even if only 25% of the people up there Sing. They should have made that the singing section and given first dibs of of cheap seats at the back to singers on SS1. Made it very clear what it is and let them move there. If the back 15 rows or so of that stand were the singers right next to the roof, it would be a much better noise. They missed a trick. They could still so it but it would involve moving the away fans.
