To be fair, we've no real idea how 'interested' Sheikh Mansour is anyway. By that, I mean from a footballing perspective. I'm pretty sure he has a team who've been tasked with promoting Abu Dhabi in myriad ways. Manchester City being just one of them. As far as anyone can tell, our progress has been fairly impressive and we've not had any major disasters yet. We've had disappointment in Europe, and need to improve, but we've not been absolutely disastrous. We've been a little underwhelming and a fairly unlucky. Nothing that can't and won't be overcome.
I'm not sure there's anything for him to become 'bored' of. This project doesn't feel like it's a rich man's folly. I know that's the accusation many lay on us, but if it were pure folly, he'd be attending our games, and playing around with the team etc, and that's clearly not the case.
This is a serious project, and he's got a team doing his bidding, and doing it pretty well. I just can't see where boredom even comes into it.
However, I can see a day when Manchester City are supplemented by other activities. Perhaps American football, perhaps a Formula One team, who knows? and we may not be the jewel in the crown. But whatever happens, we're in much better shape than 7 years ago. Can't grumble at that!
