Great shot any chance of this being enlarged, Bradford Gas Works, Beswick Railway Yard, Bradford Pit, Clayton Analine, "The Way We Were"

Came across that by chance.

There is a larger version, but it's the same picture magnified, and was slightly blurred.

Great picture.
Does anyone have photos of the stadium being built stage by stage? There was a website around 2001/02 I think it was called Blue Wookie or something like that.
Anyway he used to put up great photos of the grounds progress every few weeks, but they've disappeared never to be seen again :(

Not sure there are any stage by stage pictures, but there are some pictures floating around the interweb.

Jeez JRB...sharing the same synapse path there!

Cheers guys. But I've seen most of these pics before.
Maybe Blue Wookie is a bluemoon member and could post them on here.
It would be a great shame if these great photos were lost forever.

Ha, I was just about to ask a couple of questions and you answered ahead of me. you psychic?

The other question was about the 6th form college? Did we just give the land away free or are we contributing to the build as well?

We are contributing to the build cost - sorry forgotten the figures but I have seen them quoted before

We should get that rag who tried to sell off plots of his land on the CFA to stop us building it to officially open it. I can see it now, tears running down his bitter rag face as he and Terry Christian prepare to cut the ribbon on the best training centre in the world, before Khaldoon takes the scissors and says "nah I don't think so lads, in your dreams"

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium Development and Collar Site (cont

I'd like to see the following People en-masse opening the training academy.

Michel Platini
David Gill
GPC.(and a noisy neighbour speech)
Bobby Charlton
Paddy Crerrand
Micky Thomas
Lou Macari
Eamonn Holmes
Dwight Yorke
Michael le Vell
Mick Hucknall
Terry Christian
Rhodri Giggs
Ryan Giggs > Rachel Riley ;-)

Perm the rest.

Apologies if this has been answered before

Can someone explain how the extra rows of seating pitchside will work? I'd seen minor references to this before and then again a couple of pages back in this thread

How many rows and how will they deal with banking ? The commonwealth conversion was a great idea, building downwards, with banked seats, which in turn meant there was a smaller surface area for the new football pitch than the previous athletics track, so the seats could be close to the pitch. That involved the pitch dropping from ground level to well below ground

But for the new rows if they do that, they would have to lower the height of the pitch again and for I'm guessing just 2/3/4 rows of seats, it can't be worth it. The only other solution is to not bank these extra seats which also doesn't work

I'm sure someone on here must know ? I'm assuming I'm just missing something blindingly obvious.....

From the planning app - three new rows simply stuck on the front of existing front row
[bigimg]http://stevenicklin.com/images/city/3NewRows.jpg[/bigimg]

And those three new rows just go lower than the previous front rows - no change in slope/profile of existing rows

Do you get a free cardboard periscope so you can see?

Surely these seats will have no cover from the roof. It will be like the days of the Gene Kelly stand!

The academy looks mile off being finished :/

The mini stadium picture I posted above was about a week ago. Noticable straight away that the vehicles such as diggers are still inside the stadia and the pitch has yet to be seeded. They've obviously made a decision to stall works there and concentrate on getting the first team side of the complex done asap and I'd hazard a guess the main focus is inside that central building and not a lot more.

Just had a look at the fly-through video.. interesting to see concept v's current build:

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium Development and Collar Site (cont

Looking at all the pics over the last week it's looking like it might not be finished until very late 2014/early 2015.
