Looks like season starts weekend of the 8th August.
Might be old news but the FA have just released their set of fixtures for next season.

The FA cup final is on 21 May 2016 which coincides with the next Blue Moon.

Never this early, but same thing I've never known premier league finishing this season so late.

Community shield is usually mid-August with season starting week after.

I wonder if premier league are planning a couple less midweek games? Can't see why it would start so early. Even with the Euros coming up next week.

it will be no different, all they have done is shift the season one week early to accommodate for the euro's
there will be the same amount of midweek games i'm sure
this
it's been done to give that wanker Hodgson an additional week to fuck up the national team before setting off for more glorious failure

It's ridiculous the way these people fuck us about. The people who pay their wages, ie us, the public, don't get to vote for them, or any say in anything they do. They just tell us what we will have to do, in order to fit in with their plans. It's fucking ridiculous.

Where's JRB with his latest pics? He's taking liberties now. I'm starting to wonder whether he deserves his statue after this... The sun was out yesterday he's got no excuse!

Is the bottom picture from the Luftwaffe archives.....

Has the pub on Rowsley Street been knocked down? Used to go in there when we first moved to the new stadium.

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Threa

The final horizontal roof support has been added. You can just about see it on the OS twitter feed pic of the Academy stadium.

At the Etihad now. Looks great. Will upload a full picture update later on today.

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Threa

We should rename the East Stand The Forge Lane Stand, since it sits exactly on it's old course.

And how about calling any "destination", which will sit parallel, The Forge...?

Recalls the history of the area and is quite a cool name to boot.

Just a thought...

What a great idea, we should start a campaign.

One of the cranes is coming down today. Contractors on site, but can't start due to the high winds.

The contractors will begin to take the old roof apart straight after the last home match. It will take about 5 weeks to do the job. Can't remember the exact name of the equipment, crawler...... will take the roof apart from inside the stadium. The work on the extension is currently on schedule and should to be completed on time.

Taken from the back of the CFA. Looks like the back pitches are being re-seeded or re-turfed already.

Lucky you didn't get your collar felt when you took those!

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Threa

The South West corner between the South Stand and the Colin Bell Stand

The mobile crane is waiting to take 1 of the cranes apart. Just waiting for the wind to ease. Lorries are also on site to take the crane sections away.

The underside of the roof spanning the South Stand and Colin Bell stand looks to be in place. If that is the underside of the roof?
