Not going to happen at the Etihad (CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL) no way. The capacity has to be over 70k for a stadium to be in consideration of late. Just look at the last 5 years of final venues.

Without looking, I'm sure benficas stadium only holds 60000.

They hold about 65K. But for the final they reduced capacity to 60K. So i wonder if they do the same we will under 60K for final?
Any ways, the trouble is UEFA loves Wembley it is guaranteed 90,000 packed in and in a great venue. We will have a big fight getting the final at the Etihad having to beat out the likes of Wembley, SWAMP, emirates, even the new Westham toilet bowl, as they are going to be 60K with planning permission submitted for additional 6000 in the coming years to go to 66K.

Should have had performance related clauses built into the original contract so that the more we win, the further we go in the Champions League etc the more is payable. Perhaps it does.All will see in the coming weeks, its a good thing Mr Plattini is no longer around, he would have a heart attack!

For me, that why we should expand the stadium as large as possible,so we can start bidding for stuff like that. Also I don't think the size of the stadium is all that is important (still think the stadium as to be over 60/65'000) to UEFA, as the quality of the corporate also play's a big part with these free loaders. Personally it wouldn't bother me if only 60'000 turned up in a 70/75'000 stadium, as you would always have that extra capacity for the really big games. How many more tickets would of been sold for the Aguero/QPR game if we had a bigger stadium ?wow I stand corrected, cheers bud.

I could see us opening a campus in China maybe or maybe not connected to a club as I think there is massive potential in making money charging there rich elite to education and coach football and other sports to there kids
And we know the campus has great potential is it connect or are we just talking more money because we are amazing ?
