The bridge looks really low, well, too low to get a bus under.

wouldnt surprise me. there is a story (urban legend) of a bus terminal being built with access of insufficient height to allow a double decker buse to pass under. iirc it was one in Manchester

Are there any brochures, pr materials, documents, dvd, books, maps about the Etihad Campus and its work in progress? Every information of interest.

Any cost, let me know

Hardly fkin "iconic" as mooted in the planning apps etc.

Vinaloy design yada yada yada. Don't think so.

Its a concrete walkway FGS.

Not much better than the one over the A34 at parrswood.

Underwhelming.

Look at the pictures of the supports next to traffic lights and consider the height of the cars as a reference

Who cares about an iconic bridge when we have that facility.

-- Sun Mar 02, 2014 9:22 am --

JRB - wow, those pictures are incredible and i can only second everyone elses thaks. The fact we can see grass pitches gives it some perspective and shows how awesome it is. Can you imagine any interested players from 11 year od kids to the worlds best footballers visiting this place. They will be absolutely blown away. Perfect start to a historical day.

Also have you considered the psychological effect on visiting teams? Some will feel beaten before they set foot on the pitch.

Personally I think the bridge looks better with it being constrained and subtle rather than those arcing, fan like bridges that are ten a penny. Looks effortless in the pics I've seen so far...just with the stadium and academy framing it's impressive enough. Add something decent on the collar site and I reckon this area will look incredible.

The academy pics are stunning too. A complete transformation of that land. Huge thanks for these pics JRB.

How on earth they managed to alter an area of East Manchester, just a short time ago full of grimy industrial units (at best) to this below, resembling something you'd see in Madrid/Barcelona/US...
