Eto'o Agent on City [Merged]

ETO'O CONSIDERS INTERNAZIONALE SWAP

Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o is willing to move to Inter in exchange for Zlatan Ibrahimovic as long as he receives a five-year contract worth £10m a season.

The Cameroon international has a year left on his current deal with Barça and is in quite a negotiating position what with interest from England rising.

Eto'o has been valued at around £20m and is reluctant to leave the European champions, but would do so if it were to become worth his while.

“To obtain the 'yes' of Samuel there is need of a golden handshake and a remuneration equal to that received by Ibrahimovic,” his agent, José Maria Mesalles, said.

In laymen's terms, Eto'o wants £15m just for walking away from Barça as well as the same contract Ibrahimovic currently enjoys at Inter, which is worth £10m a year.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 28-year-old is unwilling to lower his demands, as he believes an English club will be able to meet his terms in January.

In total, Eto'o would cost Inter an astonishing £65m over five years, which some would say represents value for money considering he scores 30 goals a season.

He's either pricing himself out of a move to Inter or I dunno, I don't think Mourinho would give him that deal in a million years.

Would inter stump up this ammount though?? i know we would!

Surely £10 million a season is wrong as that's £200,000 a weeks - didn't think anyone earned that - even the top earners.

i am fairly sure that this would make him the highest paid in europe (until Kaka (if true) signs for Madrid) and there are lots out there who deserve to be paid higher that Eto....

His agent has been meeting with Barca today. Says here that he wants to leave.

This made me laugh, talks with Eto hit a stumbling block so they thought they would try there luck with Iniesta!
