Eto'o bad news update

We should just pull the plug on this now and at least try and save some face.

THe last thing we want is to be caught holding our dick in our hands like happened witht Kaka with the fucking chariman and player making up and having a good laugh at us.

I still think he will end up signing a new contract at Barca. This is all about eto getting the contract he wants at Barca. We have been made to look mugs again I fear.....
I agree but most on here think he's in Carrington eating pie and mushy peas and unpacking his boxes at Freddy Flitoff's old house lol!

Got to love this forum

"Kaka said yes"

"Eto 100% done"

See a pattern emerging

Some of you lot are depressing...i checked this thread about 2hrs ago and then again just now.

Some of you have gone from elated to suicide watch over one comment....it's embarrassing.

Agreed we should pull the plug and get a press release out NOW saying we've ended the talks and will not stretch to unreasonable demands.

We need to save ourselves from embarrassment - again.

Come on. We should all know the signs by now....he's not coming.

This leaking of news to 'tell a story', this 'he's only saying he doesn't want to come to get more money' etc

It's just denial. It's just what we tell ourselves whenever it looks like a player doesn't want to come to us. Notice how non of these 'games' actually happen before we actually sign a player but ALWAYS when we get rejected. RE Ronaldinho, Kaka and now seemingly Eto'o.

bless you, I know we've all been hurt in the past, but you have to retain a sliver of optimism, otherwise nothing good will ever happen.

I'm just being realistic. The players agent is coming out saying he's not going, there's a conference tomorrow etc

Do you remember this sort stuff happening when Kaka signed for Madrid?

I'm not saying we should give up (to be fair NOBODY has a clue what is 100% happening) until it's a definite public no, but don't be thinking we're in the driving seat or even close to being in that position.

Perhaps City have reason to believe that this is far from over..................

Save yourself any embarassment by not posting stuff like this

We would do this if the statements coming out of spain were true.

To me the fact that it is still quiet is positive

C'Mon City get this done

If he comes, great

If he doesnt, we go public about Eto'o being a greedy tw*t and use it as an opportunity to show the world we wont be taken for mugs, we will only pay what we think someone is worth and not prepared to pay over the odds in terms of fees/wages blah blah blah

It looks like this has gone to shit, just important now to use the whole sorry saga to our advantage

Why the FUCK did Laporta come out and reveal the offer? What a prick. All he had to do was keep his fucking mouth shut but he couldn't resist.

exactly i hate all of these foreign big club owners, they are all pricks!!!

And they all seem to know how to make themselves look good by using City as their whipping boys.

Just really hope our boys learnt a big lesson in January and have full contingency plans in place for any eventuality that could make us look fools again.

they're still nursing their wounds from the kaka affair. it's clouding their judgment somewhat. nothing much has changed. I would be extremely wary of reading much into one reported comment from an agent to a radio station, which is the substance of all the other stories, especially as it may be a political move, or a negotiating stance. anyway, the agent certainly did not rule out the possibility, did he. 180 degree turn arounds are the norm in transfer dealings. villa to real madrid, anyone?

This,,,,,drop him now and tell it how it is,,just tell media he was f@cking us around and no player is bigger than Manchester City and we want players who;s ambition matches their wallet, any hint of a "just the last pay day job and your f@cked off before you start".Just turn it round and say WE don;t LIKE him, greedy t@@t and all that and move on..

The plan was not to deal with wops...turns out all these dagos are as bad as each other.
