- Big opportunity for West Ham in that competition.

- I want Arsenal to stay in the Europa League but hopefully Sporting keep it competitive. Hopefully the Thursday-Sunday schedule, playing after us every week and the pressure to win every week affects their league form.

- I hope Pellegrini smashes United.

Arsenal taking the Europa League seriously, 7/11 are usually starters:

West Ham strong-ish as well:

Course we are taking it seriously. We are seriously lacking European pedigree and also need to stop Utd winning this thing or the media will start saying this Utd team are so good they're evolving football.

No it's good, I think you guys have a strong enough squad to manage both competitions, it's the right thing to do given there's still a long time to go in the Premier League, I just didn't know whether Arteta would feel the same.

Only negative to the Europa League is playing Sunday in the league nearly every week. I don't know whether it's a negative for the players but as a fan I just prefer Saturday games.

I get the feeling Arteta is taking it seriously as we'll be in the CL next season most likely so probably wants to see how far he can progress. If we manage to get to the final with a semi strong team then it's a European trophy on his CV.

Yeah its not ideal playing on Sunday. If you're on top, you wanna play early and keep the lead. There's more pressure if you play after the competition and you need a win.

Guess the Rags will be back tonight with their 1 Billion Pound squad playing Betis, who have a net spend of minus 40 odd million in transfers over the last 3 seasons. No doubt this cost difference between the 2 clubs will be pointed out by the media at various times before, during and after the game (seriously it wont be mentioned once)

If Utd win the Europa I can already imagine it overshadowing the league winners and CL winners. Their run will be dubbed the hardest European run ever and that the EL was harder than the CL that year.

I wanna laugh but a part of me actually believes there will be pundits/media saying this lol.

All end of season awards to rags.

Rashford player of the year
Gazpacho young player
Wish.Com Pep manager of the year
Doris Hebblethwaite - Tea lady of the year...

I’ve just realised Arsenal and West Ham are not playing in the same competition. What’s the Europa Conference League and how long has that been around ?
