Good half of football. End to end stuff, plenty of tackles flying in and a great atmosphere. Porto badly lack creative players though, other than Quaresma (who's beyond erratic) they are far too reliant on crosses

Porto have two decent fullbacks, a top defender in Mangala, a top holding player in Fernando, and two great attacking options in Quaresma and Martinez.

You can see the holes Rodriguez and Moutinho have left because they need a decent number ten and a central midfielder who can dictate play and ping balls around, if those two players were still there Porto would have a decent side.

I tell you what though, France are having a golden generation in center halves at the moment with Mangala, Varane and Zouma coming through, there is probably more but those are the three I can think of at the moment.
True, but they've been suffering from terrible mis-management of their talent as well. They have the two players they need to fill those holes, in Quintero and Iturbe, but they just don't trust them. Iturbe is out on loan while Quintero struggles to get sub appearances while mediocre players like Carlos Eduardo, Varela and Jonas Guiterez lookalike Lica

Mangala looks very raw. I said in the CB thread in the main forum that we've taken too many risks on promising defenders.. we NEED an established, proven partner for Vinny.

Great game this, what a finish!
He's raw and they are asking for 38m imagine if he was established
