Le pen nationalists beating Macron En Marche according to French polls.

Posted a load in the Brexit party thread but guess it makes sense to start a seperate one so I’ll repeat the highlights apart from the UK one.

Germany, FGW exit poll:

CDU/CSU-EPP: 27.5%
GRÜNE-G/EFA: 20.5%
SPD-S&D: 15.5%
AfD-EFDD: 10.5%
LINKE-LEFT: 5.5%
FDP-ALDE: 5.5%
PARTEI-NI: 2.5%
FW-ALDE: 2%

Spain. Pedro Sánchez's Socialists win the European election in Spain with 28.4 percent of the vote and 18 MEPs (up 4 from 2014):

France. Le Pen pips Macron but vote share down from her win in 2014

Big winners so far are the Greens. Possible king makers in new EU Parliament and reflects growing concern on climate and environment across Europe.

Update from Spain. Although counting is in early stages PSOE seem to be doing the same as they did in the GE.

The rise of Vox seems to have woken up the left.

Encouraging...

“Voter turnout across the EU27 (excluding UK) is being projected at just under 51% - the highest figure for over 20 years. Including the UK it's expected to be 49-52%. This year will be the first time turnout has increased since the very first European elections were held in 1979”

Greens second in Finland. Also Greens third in France which has gone under the radar a bit.

“Finland, preliminary final results, 100% counted

KOK-EPP: 20.8% (-1.8)
VIHR-G/EFA: 16.0% (+6.7)
SDP-S&D: 14.6% (+2.3)
PS-ECR→EAPN: 13.8% (+0.9)
KESK-ALDE: 13.5% (-6.2)
VAS-LEFT: 6.9% (-2.4)
SFP-ALDE: 6.4% (-0.4)
KD-EPP: 4.9% (-0.3)

+/- vs. 2014 election”

First results in and Labour are having an absolute shocker.

Early days but could Corbyn be following May out of a job sooner than be expected?
