European Super League | ECJ rule that UEFA and FIFA acted unlawfully in blocking Super League (p 29)

Yup an awful lot of utd and lfc fans are fed up with the perceived injustice of City winning all the time and they want out.
I think the fans will decide ultimately. Lfc/utd American owners will be listening to their fan opinions since that's what stopped it last time.

All eyes on the government and see if they can prevent our (red) clubs leaving, but id expect a Brexit style campaign of misinformation over the next few years.

I am so glad I got to watch MY club achieve what we have before football eats itself.
Make no mistake, the american owners set couldnt give a damn about the fans, this is about making money and protecting their ability to do so, same as its always been.

You can't stop the inevitable...

Money talks, bullshit walks. The PL and UEFA have been hanging onto their cash cow by a thread since the SL plans were revealed.

All the top clubs will be rubbing their hands together looking forward to this.

Football is dead.
Yeah fuck it. Seen it all now with City. Once this shit starts i’ll join the thousands of old time diehards who’ve fucked it off already.

The Telegraph reporting government sources saying that the proposed new bill will mean that clubs would be expelled from all English football if they joined any new form of ESL.

Further analysis of the judgement shows that it isn't a slam dunk win for the ESL side either. Currently only RM & Barcelona are nominally part of it so El Classicos on loop isn't going to cut it.
The Government have no powers to control where a football club operates. Globalisation is a reality and the days of Empire are over. Apparently The Tories haven’t realised this yet.

Will have to see how Madrid and barca try and get the premier league clubs back involved with the potential risk of a points deduction and big fine.
A super league without the English clubs is pointless and the champions league without Madrid and barca is seriously devalued as whoever wins it will just be told they only won it because the 2 big Spanish clubs weren't in it.

City absolutely do want to be part of it, but not as a second-class citizen. Soriano has been planning for City to be part of a Super League for quite some time.

He wouldn't be doing his job if he hadn't been planning for it.

Whether 'legacy' / traditional fans like it or not is of absolutely no consequence.

The American owners will be the ones pushing this like last time. They have always wanted a closed shop, no relegation or promotion competition.

The first two to jump after fan protests were City and Chelsea. Chelsea now have an American owner so might not back down so quickly.
