On the back of a few posts in the transfer section, I thought I'd start a fresh topic. Anyway, here's a couple for you from a recent trip to Berlin.

I rarely drink wheat beet, but find Hacker Pschoor quite tasty when coupled with a Chicago-style pizza. Mmmm...I'm off to Ranalli's now! Thanks for the lunch idea.

I love wheat beer and actually suspect that the hoegaarden brewery put small amounts of crack into the beer to make it addictive.
I have carried out quite a lengthy experiment and can tell you that wheat beer is useless as a slimming aid as nowadays I look like I'm smuggling a fucking wok up my shirt.

when in Munich four years ago really got into Augustiner, particularly their Dunkel. a perfect breakfast start

(so not particularly wheat, but munich-based)

Hoegaarden was better before Inbev bought the factory.

Was drinking this in Blackfriars in Glasgow last Thursday night. Delicious! Not seen it for a good few years but was fond of Pinkus Muller (I think it was called) in the Beer House on Rochdale Road (talking 1989/1990).

Still can't beat a bit of Bow though.
