One thing I do like about Eurovision is that it does offer a space to the more unusual genres that don't get a lot of airing. It's not all camp ballads, there is always a good mix in there. For that reason I always enjoy it, occasionally I get introduced to something new. I really liked Finland's entry last year and think it should have won if it weren't for sentimentality over the Swedish former champion.

I'm a big fan of progressive metal. I'd hardly ever seen a prog metal band on TV before, but last year Australia entered Voyager and they did pretty well. This year we have something I think is even better in Norway's prog folk-metal entry Gåte. Honestly, it slaps and I think it has an outside chance. I'm definitely going to be rooting for them.

We see it with the voting every year. At the same time it's hypocritical with Russia and Israel. Either both in or out.
