Everton 2017/18

they need a big name manager to boost the club and get better players in Carlo Ancelotti would be a big name but would he move to everton

Not really a surprise. The Toffees' form this season has been woeful at best.

Who next?

Gollum? BFS? Personally, I would avoid those two like the plague and attempt to attract ap up-and-coming young manager.

Considering what Marco Silva has achieved in a very short time with both Hull and Watford, I would go for him, though whether the Hornets would allow Silva to talk to Everton is another thing.

Mancini would be a great shout for them. He ought to get the defence sorted, especially with a decent transfer budget. Everton fans might have to be patient for a while in terms of playing style just as we had to be, but we saw once the handbrake came off that we were great to watch going forward as well.

Telegraph saying Dyche is lined up, probably a realistic choice for Everton. Can't really fault the job he's done at Burnley but he'd be leaving one safe team for a team in a bit of trouble.

Whoever comes in is still going to need to buy a striker in January.

I'd hate for either Mancini or Pellegrini to go there. They're a horrible club and as much as i wanted Pellegrini out he was a very classy man that doesn't deserve to be tainted by them.

If you're Dyche, would you even want to go to Everton? His stock is on the rise game by game right now and at Burnley it's a safe bet he'll have a comfortable season and get many accolades. At Everton, there's an expectation from the fans beyond their capabilities, i don't see how his reputation can improve going there. if he does well he gets them back to around 7th which would be considered where they should be. If he stays at Burnley and they can consolidate around mid-table, it's easier for him to overachieve and there's more chance of a better team than Everton coming in for him.

problem was all in the transfer policy. Sold their striker and didn't replace him. Got suckered in to buying overrated English players for a fortune, and then bought 3 attacking midfielders and have no width or pace to balance the side or the attack.

No stronger at the back, unbalanced in midfield and much weaker in attack. They have a complete dog of a squad.

Not if he's got any sense. The ground is a shithouse, the fans are complete shithouses , and Bill Kenwright is totally clueless in selling Lukaku to the Rags ( despite the fee he got for the lump ) and signing the worn out Granny Shagger as his replacement. It was obvious to everybody in football that Rooney was a busted flush and the Rags couldn't wait to unload the twat, to get rid of his contract.

I think Rooney was bought by Kenwwright and forced upon Koeman. Can't see that the manager ever wanted him

School of Science to Dyche's long ball shit. Lovely. Just hope Bob doesn't lower himself and end up there.

On balance, he probably had to go and the lack of affinity he'd nurtured with the fans and players was never going to earn him an extended grace period. I don't think it helped that they'd lost three of their most important players to injury though and even though £140m was spent on players, it was spent very poorly. The board are just as responsible for that as Koeman. Bringing Rooney back was a massive mistake and it wouldn't surprise me if Bill Kenwright played a bigger role in that than Koeman. Probably the right decision but the club's hierarchy should shoulder a fair amount of the blame too.

Can't see established managers like Bobby or Pellers going there.
The money's all been spent now.
A job for a younger manager who could stabilise things, make a small improvement and take the credit.
Still don't understand our abysmal record against them.
