Everton 2017/18

I imagine the powers that be, would like to see how he does in a game, first.
Exactly.how a player who has never managed before (to my knowledge) can just announce he wants the gig at a premiership club is beyond me...
I watched as sky sports announced this news and id def say its got legs....there is a real push from this media outlet..they repeated his quote more often than marios back heel v spurs a few yrs back.

After Phelan and Shakespeare over the last ten months, only an idiot would hire Unsworth full-time.
Already making excuses...he "wont get as much time on ths training ground as he would like,as the games are coming thick and fast"
Look mr pie eater,do u want the job full time or not?

I would be interested to see how many touches Rooney had against Chelsea. I watched about 20mins of the match and he touched the ball twice in that time. He made 2 token efforts to run after defenders knocking it between each other but was so easily and often cut out of the action. It did not seem just to be Chelsea's tactics either, the ball was around him. He just seemed happy to make an effort to be kind of open in an area nobody is going to pass to you, essentially ghosting away from the action when it comes his way.

Either he is a proper lazy so and so or his understanding of the game really is pretty bad. I suspect part of both but either way he was not doing nearly enough imo.

To be really kind he had what my dad calls "a quiet game".

Agree with what this piece says: https://www.otbfootball.net/who-next-for-everton/

Don't know what they were expecting to achieve by sacking koeman without having a replacement lined up,. It's early in the season and although performances were poor there was still time to turn things around. Can't abide by clubs who are content with caretaker managers. Shakespeare shouldn't have been given a permanent job at Leicester either, he's hardly a premier league quiality manager.

Strange how you need all these qualifications to be a ref (working your way up the ladder from level nine) a coach has to have UEFA qualifications etc yet someone who has never managed in the premiership expects to be given a job there. It's like the ref at Hough End saying he wants to be a premier league ref - should never happen, it's just job's for the boys.

Wouldn't it be 'Typical City-esque' if, having got a wealthy owner, spent some money and finally seem to have a new stadium on the horizon, that they got relegated?
Might be Typical City-esque, but it would also be piss funny.
Expect West Ham to recruit Hans Segers as an emergency signing before the final game of the season.

Out of Europe.

As I said in the match thread, Dyche would be mad to leave Burnley for the state Everton are in at the moment.

Big Sam rumours have grown stronger today and going on their forum 67% of their fans don't want him.

What about the other 33%. Think he's shit, but could do a job. Horrible when you have to make do.
Thought this new owner was going to propel them to the stars.

23% actually want him and a small percentage want him till the end of the season. If he goes there surely it's only a stop-gap, unless they're giving up on the whole moving forwards thing.

I am still pissed off that this rabble took two points off us, ten men or not! I feel a bit guilty as I know two great lads who are staunch Everton fan's, one who travels down from Kent for every home game, but I am enjoying watching them suffer. They have always raised their game against us and on the whole rolled over for the rags. Then there was all that sanctimonious crap about us signing Lescott, then Stones to a lesser extent. Out of the two Merseyside clubs I prefer them to Liverpool but that isn't saying much. I think they voted for FFP for the premier league too. They need to feel the pain of relegation, they have escaped it for too long.
