It sounds like efc want the game to go ahead even if it meant playing our under 11's. Everton seem happy to risk their players and staff safety by forcing City to play when City clearly dont know who has caught covid19. City could have passed it on to efc players and staff but efc seem happy to take that risk. Reading their statement it's all about them and how hard done by they were without any thought the well fair of the opponents or their own staff !!

As soon as the game was postponed I avoided the internet so hadn't seen the fall out. So I was shocked to see people actually complaining today. No surprise it's so prevalent in this country, people are fucking idiots. Quite obvious it's been postponed due to other people being exposed and we need test results back over the next couple of days to check if others have caught it.

Imagine if we get more positive results back today, first of all it's going to be interesting to see what all these 'dock points' people will say, plenty of backtracking I reckon. Also imagine if we'd played yesterday and half the team tests positive today, how fucking bad would that have been!?

Anyway I hope for the players, staff and their families that everyone else is okay and nobody else tests positive.
 
Don’t know why we’re surprised at Everton’s statement. Typical response from Self-Pity city, all about them wahh wahh wahh. If there’s anything that those whining twats don’t moan about I’ve never heard of it.
If either of those two shithouse clubs had an outbreak they’d be calling for all football to stop. Pathetic mard arses.

To people running football (into the ground) money is everything. It's the driving force that resurrected last season, it's at the heart of everything they do. King MIdas would be green with envy at the way the football administrators so eagerly, and with lip-smacking relish, fill the coffers.

This is a reality check. I really thought efc were a "people's club" where the welfare of the people came first. So sorry to understand from their crass statement that they don't give a shit about people it is all about money. Great shame

When you say ’unscrupulous’, could that also be used to portray a club trying to force a game knowing that a fifth of the opposition squad, 5 in key positions, would be unable to play due to incapacitation, and that there is a greater chance of a positive result?

Maybe, but like you said money is everything and your players are your valuable assets so protection of them (whilst they are valuable assets) is paramount.

Because I honestly thought Everton were better than this. Ok Everton went abit silly when we signed Lescott but that was mostly their knobhead manager. I guess we saw the true Everton back thsn !. Never set foot in Merseyside and never will. Most of their fans on here are ok just odd how so far out of touch efc seem to be with their own fans. Always thought efc were a good family club similar to City unfortunately that statement last night shows us the club isnt. Sadly
