Everton (FA Cup) Post Match Thread

In the post match interveiw on bt, Pep said it was a really tough match, the toughest since the last international break! he said they had eight players back and two forwards for the cunter attack(accent?).........wasnt wrong in richarlisons case.

Everton are a good physical team with a manager who knows a thing or two, so it was always gonna be difficult, but
Phil, Ferny, Zinc and Dias all superb, Gundo popped up at the right time and Kev properly impacted the game as a sub, this is a great team we have, hard to break down, and capable of scoring even when it looks like it aint happening, and consistent as you can get, is it 25 wins in last 26 games........... fck me.

We are even afforded a few things to moan about during games, can it get any better? We are sure to collect silverware this season, not a sentence you could speak not so long ago, lets enjoy it.

In order to save my self from being locked up for aggravated murder I did not watch the second half.
Any quick summary on how we looked so that I don't have to read all the posts?
Ta.

I’m seeing Everton fans complain about our money spent as if they didn’t spunk up £40 million on Iwobi and £50million on Sigurdsson

I thought Everton defended really well, but our defensive line now just looks so, so comfortable. I don't think this was our strongest 11, but we kept doing our thing and we had a sense that a chance or two would come. A really important game, and potential banana skin avoided, a really, really big few weeks and months when we get back after the break.

Did Everton make it difficult or were we just not at our best today? I think we have a habit of overlooking the tactics of the opposition too much. I think that was a mature performance, stayed patient and got it done without having to go into extra time. We deserved the win too, as long as we we can say that while finding a way to win in games like this, I'm not going to complain.

Well done City. We are going to have start taking the quadruple talk seriously if we end up in 3 finals aren't we?
They were tenacious all over the pitch, but I never sensed like they had much goal threat tbh. I thought from the start that penalties looked like their best option.

It will be a never ending complaint mate. It’s ironic that we had no money for decades when others were spending like crazy...that’s all forgotten though. Our spend might look bad but prices go up over the years so in context....fuck em
