In the last game Jesus was better but in the games before even his build up play had gone to shit....hopefully we will see him keep on improving but he is hesitant at present

He needs to score, that s for sure. Every striker has to score for their morale. Other than that, I am ok with him. But today it s going to be a hard game for him.

I’m disappointed to see Foden on the bench. His performance in the second half against Hoffenheim merited a place in our starting line-up for today’s game.

He had a good game yes and ran his bollocks off. Pep will pick the team he feels will give us the best chance of winning. Today, that does not include Phil for whatever reason

Phil’s defo going to start in midweek so sensible not to play him 3 games in a week when he’s hardly ever played 90 mins at all

It's like Pep feels he HAS to rotate Mahrez in. Sterling was awesome mid-week and should be starting here

In fairness, he has to give all 3 opportunities early on, watch him settle on a main 2 eventually. On the current evidence, it looks like the Algerians will hate Pep soon enough. As both Sterling and Sane bring an explosiveness Mahrez can't match.

He's going to need to be 2ice the scorer and playmaker to with those 2.
