Just for all the paranoid, anti City-ists.

15. Manchester City's Munich tribute February 10, 2008

The Manchester derby which I thought was an outstanding day was the 50th anniversary of Munich. The behaviour of the Manchester City fans and the whole tone of respect was impeccable. I was alive when the plane crashed – I have hazy childhood memories of it – and for anyone who was alive at that time, it was a massive deal. I was concerned about what I would say if the fans behaved badly, what tone to take. I was feeling reverential but happily so was everyone else. City won the game through Benjani and Darius Vassell and I thought it was a wonderful time for the integrity of the Premier League. It summed up what a lovely club City are and it is as if the good behaviour has been rewarded. It was great to be there the night they qualified for the Champions League.

It was tongue in cheek tbf...

Still, you can bet when Macheda scored that goal against Villa and Tyler wet himself, ther'll have been plenty on here ranting about how he bums them and hates us.

But its good to see some heartfelt comments from within the footballing cirle about us.

Personally I think that Martin Tyler has been the best commentator around for years, decades even, and I really do not think he comes over as biased for or against any particular team

yep

but sadly its still there in the back ground with a small group of fans
we have to end this chant by all fans home and away its doing nothing for the club and players

get behind our great club and put the bad days back in the history books

Sorry I'm just paranoid.

WTF are yer doing Kev, apologising for bein' paranoid. Paranoia is good. I've used paranoia to explain away God knows how many derby reverses, exits from Cups by pub teams from Hough End, the shitehawks who've turned up at CoMS to blow a whistle and diddle us left, right and centre. Long live paranoia! Lang levende paranoia! (fer Nige!) ¡Paranoia de largo viva! (For all the Spanish and licorice speakers!) And especially for Pollotelli and Roberto - Paranoia lungamente in tensione!

Martin Tyler for me has been a more than decent successor to Motty and Brian Moore. Who were by the standards we have today absolute giants.

He has also for a large part of his career had to deal with the utterly despicable Andy Gray and Richard Keys.

david coleman was the greatest commentator ever to grace sport but was head and shoulders above any blinkered first name of footballer screamers?

I find Tyler a very fare commentator, this isn't the first time he has said good things about us, especially in the build up to games on Sky. I'd listen to him any day over that ITV muppet Clive Tyldesley, now he is a rag loving bastard!

so true!
and you sound very posh (despicable).

Tyler is alright in my book, I remember him commentating the 10-1 game -
"Huddersfield have got a Bray & a may in their team, they might just need a pray"!! quality stuff!!

A banner at the charity sheild had the word U****d with trophies surrounding it, underneath was the word City with ££$$ around it.
This was shown by the Sky cameras to which Mr Tyler ripped into it. Saying that the flag is incorrect as City also have a trophy and U****d have also got money....and a little bit of debt as well.

Shown them up to be the clueless dicks that they are.

No qualms with Tyler. Him and Andy gray were the dogs. It's a great shame that Gray no longer works at Sky and I hope he gets on somewhere like ESPN soon
