The Mrs had to go in early as they're expecting a press hounding as the bomber went to the high school where she works. Doesn't remember him though.
Although it is a worry soldiers being deployed at parliament and other building (and not just on a terror level), it has been revealed operation temperer has been in action since the brussels attacks with covert army units working alongside the police to help with security, with the threat level increased this has now been upped to full military involvement and if is necessary then sensible to do, also the police requested the extra help so this is not aome random act on tge governments part, but a response to police advice.
This though has to be a temporary thing imho, it will be a sad day if we permanently have streets patrolled by the army and see this as normal.
Lastly and this may seem cynical and I expect I will get a slagging for saying this, but I do hope people in the election campaign don't decide use this for political advantage, already I have seen posts on fb and twitter from some this morn saying how this proves may is strong and stable for deploying the army, but this is the standard government response, and other critisizing her for being opportunist and selling arms to saudis, all comments on both side are irrelevant, people have died.
Both sides need show this tragerdy the respect it deserves and not exploit it in the comming weeks.
The young girl who's mother was on TV all day yesterday appealing as to her whereabouts, has finally been named as one of the victims......so terribly sad.
Not sure Soldiers on the streets reassures us
A good friend of mine was shot in the leg at the Bataclan attacks but survived. He says he's been to more gigs since he got out of hospital than he previously had been to in his whole life. His attitude, which should be all our attitudes, was that our happiness is what offends these bastards. So lets make everyday one in which we do those things. Dance, see friends, sit in groups and share the things we love doing. Fuck fear.

No. The quote stands. No man that kills for oil thinks they are doing a good deed. And if they are able to kill and pass it off as collateral damage without a second thought then they are not good men.Hmmm. Nearly 100 years ago we were bombing Iraqi villages and killing children for not paying taxes. Oil not religion behind that. Substitute oil for religion in that quote and you've got Churchill. Maybe we've moved on, but when we hear "collateral damage" it usually means children have been killed. No excuses, no justification, just context to the outrage we feel.
Pep is in Abu Dhabi. His wife and two of his daughters were there though.Might be old news (probably is), but Spanish press are saying Pep Guardiola and his family were there.
Radcliffe had 2 minutes silence at 11am yesterday. Immpeccably observed and i stood shoulder to shoulder with a sobbing Muslim woman.
After work i went for a pint on what is usually a quiet Tuesday and it felt like half the town were out defiantly enjoying the sunshine with friends and family.
It seemed a fitting way to end a day that started so terribly.
