Exposing the hypocrisy of journalists

I automatically retweet dog pics/videos . C'mon I can't keep my feed static...I tweet about all sorts of stuff...most of them are silly

Agree. I'm just one voice in a crowd, there are some more amazing voices out there and more are needed. Also IMHO the club needs to really up it's PR game and kick out Rob Harris and his bent cronies our of our pressers. An AP reporter getting kicked out for (alleged) misinformation and bias would shine a harsh light on the bias (and on us but at some moments I don't think coverage can get worse).

Also I am thoroughly undeserving of a separate thread...can we move the convo to the media thread? Thanks :))
I disagree.

That would again take this to a smaller audience putting it in with that mad house of a thread.

Keep it in its own thread and more people will read it.

Bayern Munich are trying to get Leroy to have a similar attitude.

It's not just Barca.
True. One rule for one...

This would not normally bother me. I take it that football is subterfuge but it's the unequal treatment, or perception of it that irritates.

When players are assets worth £75m, the there needs to be very strong regulation. These transfers are worth extraordinary amounts of money. There seems to be no proportionality or fairness in UEFA's disciplinary process, and no proportionality in the media reporting either.

Unfair in my opinion to put pressure on one individual. This should be City fans battle, not City Rabin's battle.

Do you think that part of our "case" in the appeal process will highlight this bias?
By that I mean the chronic failure to apply their own rules to certain clubs compared with their attention to detail conformity where City are concerned.
Perhaps like an 80s golf club rules and their application are at the discretion of the committee?

In one sense its unrelated to City's case because it's another dispute not in front of CAS, but when the nature of the case is regarding due process, City could reference uneven application of the rules in their argument but I doubt it would have a significant impact.

Just in terms of football, it seems to me with the breathtaking figures involved in football, the transfer process is way out of hand. We have playing assets being transferred between clubs and all kinds of practises and allegations going on. Agents, players strikes etc. UEFA has got a massive job on its hands here.

End of the day, the club can manage itself, the owner, by all evidence, doesn't give a damn, the fans too, having been through hell and back, don't care beyond a point. Eventually all the media negativity isn't going to impact anyone's joy. City will manage UEFA, we have the best lawyers and management at work.

And I'm doing what I did when I had 40 followers, point out inconsistencies and striking a few lucky blows..so I'm not sure this is a "battle".

Having said which, I believe is that between factual pushback Vs insults, the factual pushback lands a meatier blow. Some of these journalists are good at writing nonsense and then when confronted, act like victims, providing them more meat to write columns.
Rather than this, basic research reveals that most of them don't have a clue of what they're speaking about (especially when it comes to football finance, human rights etc) and also their hypocrisy, exposing that makes them.look a bit silly...so if you're in the mood..do join in the fun :)
