Exposing the hypocrisy of journalists

End of the day, the club can manage itself, the owner, by all evidence, doesn't give a damn, the fans too, having been through hell and back, don't care beyond a point. Eventually all the media negativity isn't going to impact anyone's joy. City will manage UEFA, we have the best lawyers and management at work.

And I'm doing what I did when I had 40 followers, point out inconsistencies and striking a few lucky blows..so I'm not sure this is a "battle".

Having said which, I believe is that between factual pushback Vs insults, the factual pushback lands a meatier blow. Some of these journalists are good at writing nonsense and then when confronted, act like victims, providing them more meat to write columns.
Rather than this, basic research reveals that most of them don't have a clue of what they're speaking about (especially when it comes to football finance, human rights etc) and also their hypocrisy, exposing that makes them.look a bit silly...so if you're in the mood..do join in the fun :)

Tbf I think you're being a tad harsh on some of them expecting knowledge of human rights when their genetic evolution hasn't quite encapsulated the full level of divergence to fully identify them as human.

Well I would prefer it if the whole of City's fan base was weaponised rather than leaving it to one or two fans to fight their battles for them.

Regarding the media, banning them will be counter-productive. They are the front-line of what we see, but just the foot-soldiers doing the Generals bidding. They are the cog in the wheel. Who is fuelling the engine? Rival clubs, but in the propaganda war, argument is all we have.

Beating them on the pitch is made sweeter by all this, but it probably just ratchets up the stakes even more. We'd be ignored if we were unsuccessful.

Do you think that part of our "case" in the appeal process will highlight this bias?
By that I mean the chronic failure to apply their own rules to certain clubs compared with their attention to detail conformity where City are concerned.
Perhaps like an 80s golf club rules and their application are at the discretion of the committee?

Not at all.
What conformity do you think other clubs are failing to meet? It's easy to claim that a club is behind something, but difficult to prove - the media and agents will be at it, but are essentially unregulated by UEFA.

Our case appears to be based on the hacked emails (whatever they say) and whether it can be proved that the club have done wrong. There is the side order of whether it's within the UEFA regs, but that stands alone as well.

Other clubs have nothing to do with this. If there were leaks about other clubs apparently misleading UEFA, then there would be more relevance.

Hahahaha...I'd love to see Duncan Castles try and decipher that :)

I will. Others should too. Leave it to one person and they get targeted.

von Clausewittz: "War is the continuation of politics by other means." By the same token, propaganda is the continuation of of war by other means.

They started this, and if the media weaponises City fans, then what is meant by this? An exchange of views. They just want it to be all one way. Well that is not how free speech works. The problem is that free speech does not exist. We have threats of bans, libel laws etc

Has the club actually said something to these journalists as it’s seemed to have gone quiet on the shit slinging since it’s crescendo after the FA cup final. I’ve seen a couple of baldly put together cut and shut rehashes in the Daily Mail that made me laugh but nothing since.

Will the timetable for more shit slinging commence around the charity shield or West Ham away? Or the press having fun writing stuff about United as it’s pretty easy pickings and open season on them at the moment.

I think articles are timed for impact or basis directions from PR machinery.

I think the fact it’s pre season, people have switched off from football for a few months mean they have reigned in their attacks. Roll on August 4th and the new season and the usual suspects will be back.
