From a personal point of view. I'm quite confident that I could go out there and off some stationary taliban at anything up to 600 yrds. Just for kicks.I don't fancy being away from my wife and kids for more than a week though. If the government would just fly me back and forth Clubclass I'd happily seperate some Taliban hats from their shoulders. Not for medals, not for right or wrong...just because.
 
I have served in both Iraq and Afghan, and I think we should use students as target practise during pre-deployment training rather than sending them out there.

Need better training than that...have you seen how easy it is to hit a student on oxford road? It's more difficult to miss 'em.
