Nice podium. And in the right order. Verstappen was simply great as was his qualifying round that brought him pole. Alonso by far the best of the rest. Great season for him so far. Ocon the surprise package and deserved to be driver of the day. Perez spoiled his chances in Q1. Unbelievable. The rain made it a bit more exciting for a while.

It’s far from ideal abandoning the zero side pod concept 7 races in. They are going to understand how the new tweaks work as soon as possible and a huge chunk of the development budget has gone on this change so not much scope to develop it further later on in the season. Red Bull have a dream machine and it will take other teams a huge effort to catch up.

Amazing how breaking the budget cap rules is costed against the fine to gain a huge advantage which more than pays for the fine with a future constructors and world title win. Or am I being cynical?
