Jesus, over as a spectacle within the first ten seconds. Contemplating wether to give up and switch off or persevere just incase something happens.

Maybe Hamilton can take the two Ferraris.

I did a Kimi Raikkonen and went for a shit and missed whatever happened.

What happened to that Haas?

What advantage do teams get by doing the dummy run in the pits, I get it’s to fool other teams into thinking you’re doing a pit stop , but I’ve never noticed it making any difference at all ?

What a dominant race by Verstappen. And another record: 1st driver ever to win 16 races within a season.

Hamilton deserved 2nd. The ‘old’ man still has the drive to even take an extra point with the fastest lap. Well done.

Perez the culprit. He really should’ve been more careful with 17 rounds to go. He disappointed a lot of Mexican fans.
Again Verstappen saved RB.

"F1 put out a series of statistics before the weekend in Brazil that it said proved that sprint weekends create a bigger global audience and more interest, both on television and online."

Does anybody have much interest in the Sprint races, or is the focus mainly on qualifying and the actual race?

Of the few people I know who are interested in F1, like me, none are particularly interested in them, so would it be fair to question the statement above?

I guess it would depend on how they attained their statistics. If they asked me if I watched the sprints, then my answer would be yes, but if they were to ask if I would be in favour of them being dropped, then I would also answer yes.

If anything I only watch the main race these days. Qualifying has been devalued by easy DRS overtakes and sprint races just aren't F1 races in the traditional sense. F1 needs the complexity of a 90 minute race with strategy and the racing to develop.

I expect that audiences would be
- bigger for sprint qualifying than free practice
- bigger for sprint race than free practice

It seems self-evident that audiences for a sprint weekend will have higher audiences.

True. How ever much I'm not a fan of the sprint races they're still a competitive session. Which for me will always be more interesting to see than another free practice session.
