F1 2025 Season

Absolutely, if all cars were equal, the drivers championship would be well & truly over
It would have been interesting to see him and Hamilton in the same team and same spec car a few years ago. It would probably have only lasted one season and ended with a big fall out (like Senna & Prost or Hamilton & Rosberg).

That type of rivalry is what is missing with Norris & Piastri. They are more interested in doing Mclaren social media content and putting the team first, than trying to get a physiological edge and get under the skin of each other. After today's result Verstappen will be all over the mind games, it wouldn't surprise me they crumble, he has already caught Piastri after being miles behind 6/7 races ago

View attachment 175677Standings for the last 2 races. All it takes is one thing from Norris and Max is right on his tail. He’ll surely feel the pressure, and I wouldn’t be surprised if RB whip out the Saudi 21 tactics again. It definitely is close enough.
There is still a lot to play for, Norris will obviously get no help from his team mate, like Verstappen and Hamilton both used to regularly get from Perez and Bottas. Plus Red bull technically have 3 other cars in the field who could potentially make things awkward for Norris if he finds himself trying to pass them after pit stops etc. If Verstappen smells blood he will play dirty and bully Norris by not giving a shit if he crashes at 200mph!

Funny one this isn’t it.

No way Newey will want to do all the pit wall and speaking to the media shit. I can see why he wants to play at being boss but that public facing stuff isn’t in him at all.

Lots of rumours of Horner coming in but he’s such an egotistical **** that he’ll never agree to Newey being his boss. So realistically it means giving Horner equity as well as a massive wad of cash.

Looking forward to seeing what unfolds this weekend. It's going to be interesting. Norris can try and keep out of trouble and be conservative but equally he probably wants to get the job done this weekend and win the title.

It would be good for it to go down to the last race and there be a three way battle though.

Feels like Aston told Newey they were bringing in Horner and he told them he'd do it himself.

Lando has definitely sorted out whatever was going on with his head earlier in the season.

If McLaren have the car this weekend he’ll take maximum points.

The same can be said for Max of course.

This weekend will be won and lost in the garage and on the pit wall IMO.

Think that pit stops ruin a race,I want to see the best drivers competing on track, not how fast you can change a tyre, the sport as gone downhill since the mansell,Prost senna era

Watch it come down to a dodgy race decision on the last race.
Guaranteed - we need someone to punt the dirty dutchman off the track in first corner this weekend to stop that - the aussie could fall on his sword too if he wanted - back in Qatar 2021 I never understood why Bottas didn't just stop his car in the road in the last couple of laps in support of Hamilton to stop the nonsense happening that played out that day

I respectfully disagree, the sport is about much more than drivers. It’s a competition of design and engineering.

There’s plenty of other forms of spec series motorsport out there that’s purely a competition of driver skill, F1 has never been that.

Agreed - look at the manufacturer series (e.g. Formula Ford) if you want series judged on pure driver skill

Max is playing a few **** games.

I only saw the footage last night from Las Vegas of the formation lap where Nando is getting pissed off at Verstappen delaying the rest of the field from lining up on their grid a few seconds longer than normal.

He is indeed the new Michael Schuhmacher in that respect - both good drivers but both prone to push/break the rules when it suited them

There's no rule about the gap on the formation lap.
The 10 car length only applies when behind a safety car
