Just for my own curiosity I thought I would see how much more 'interesting' this years Championship has been. I'd say there's a decent chance that this thread could be nudging 400 pages by the end of the race next Sunday. Last year's F1 thread ran to just 92!

Hamilton will miss him next season. I can't see Russell expecting to do the same role. He'll want the title and if Mercedes get it right we might see another rivalry for a decade which will be good for the sport.Bottas is a brilliant team mate and by backing / slowing the pack it enabled him to pit but also gave Hamilton that extra margin. It’s called tactics and it’s the right thing to do. It’s a minor point in a race full of chaos.
No denying this has been the best season for years. I suspect the final race will also be as controversial. Let's see what Masi let's RB get away with next weekend.

The saudis love willy waving. The only way they'd tweak is to make it faster and more dangerous for the drivers.get the impression the Saudis probably mandated the fastest street circuit in F1 to outdo Baku and that's what we got. There'd have to be some very delicate talks to coerce them into tweaking it.

I am off to Abu Dhabi on Thursday morning. Should be a barnstorming end to the season. Hoping to be talking about racing rather than white lines and penalties. It is certainly on a knife edge.

Yeah absolutely mate. Was a great event weekend.Track design aside, the spectacle was incredible and they should be rightly applauded for putting on an incredible show.
Im already looking forward to next years race and by the sounds of it, so are the drivers.

Abu Dhabi has always been a boring race but they’ve reconfigured the circuit to hopefully improve the spectacle. Huge back straight and Drs zone should see some positions changing, I wouldn’t fancy trying to pass Verstappen with some of the dirty tricks he tried at 200mph.

Hamilton had shown his experience this season and reeled Max in using it. In a few years time hopefully we'll see Verstappen has matured and doing the same to the next heir the championship throne. However he'll need to change personally to do that and I don't think hie ego would allow it.
