F1 thread - 2019 Season

Not sure wtf Merc did today but it was a disaster.

Ferrari very strong but they fucked leclerc over there to give Vettel the win and he is not happy, rightly so.

Max as strong as ever and Norris had a very solid race and result yet again.
 
Interesting race. Mercedes completely screwed themselves
Charles has every right to be disappointed but I wouldn't be totally surprised if Seb undercutting him was a mistake, they appeared to bring him in to cover Max off and then talked about a swap afterwards
Must say I've been impressed with Ferraris mid season development, usually Mercedes pull away from them but they've closed the gap in development terms
 
A real shame about all the safety cars at the end, but once they all bunch up, you just get one after another.

Impressive from Ferrari, again. Thought Leclerc, despite obviously being furious, was very professional afterwards and played the team game brilliantly. He knows he's got the beating of Vettel now, so he will take the pinch.

Solid from Max and Albon who is clearly doing better than Gasly was in the RB. Really impressed with him, and Lando Norris, this season.

Merc had a mare and overthought it, which they often do when chasing, but they probably couldn't believe that they just weren't quick enough at the end of the first stint.

Obviously the title is sewn up but it should be pretty exciting, for the rest of the season, as there are 4/5/6? drivers now who can legitimately be in with the chance of a win, depending on the circuit and how they use the tyres.

Roll on next weekend.

I'm wary of doing a Liverpool and saying next year is their year for Ferrari, but lot of positives since the summer break for them.

Before their car was simply only better in a straight line with one of their drivers with no confidence. Now said driver has got a win under his belt and they're beating Mercedes at aero tracks.

I still think Lewis is the man to beat next year but next year might well be a lot more interesting in terms of a title fight.
