FA Cup 2024/25 Fourth Round 7th - 11th February

The linesman is actually right in line with the offside players but doesn't flag. It's not even close, it's an appalling decision.
Coventry got the winner in the Semi final ruled out that would have been on if he'd cut his toenails that morning by VAR and tonight Uniteds goal that David Blunkett would spotted offside stands. VAR or no VAR makes no difference to Utd.

It’s a bad one, shades of their ridiculous derby equalizer. Leicester should demand a replay with foreign officials

And 17 home ties out of the last 20, probability 850 billion to 1

Where's that BlueHammer twat preaching.
It doesn't take VAR for the linesman to see there's 3 offside players now does it?
Even Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles and Mr Magoo would have seen that offside. Leicester, like Coventry last season have well and truly been done. Same as when Rashford was yards offside but "wasn't interfering with play" when we got done at the swamp. One rule for United, Liverpool and Arsenal, another for the non cartel clubs. Always has been and always will be.

A true shithouse of a club.

Much better to play Leicester at home than Leyton Orient away? Or Liverpool whist we got Newcastle? Or a semi final against Coventry whilst we played Chelsea? etc...
I think our consecutive run of "easy" draws a few years ago was around that many, where does that fit into the narrative?
Also if you think the odds of that landing are 850 billion/1 will you be my bookie?

I don't give a fuck about other clubs only us. Our complaint was vindicated as at least one ref was pulled from.our games after a few dodgy decisions in our games.
Ignoring relevant but contrary facts will certainly go some way to maintaining your subconscious bias.

918/1 chance of that happening. That is pretty long odds in anyone's book but they say the draw is fair and not rigged. Somehow that may not be the case with United.

Every club is convinced it is they that get the shitty decisions and will be able to point to some evidence or other that supposedly proves it.
You have obviously not been watching City for the last 10 years.. We’ve been fucked over dozens of times by blatant cheating by the officials… Yes other clubs get bad decisions but rarely is it the red top cunts…!!!

Leicester won't demand a replay because they know it will never happen. However they should be demanding to know how four offside players were missed by a linesman with a clear view of the incident.
And they should be complaining all bloody weekend, not just accepting it.

The thread about grounds reminded my of something. Earlier in the season I watched a game that was so far down the pyramid that each club provided a linesmen, a bit like we used to do in Sunday League games. Looking at the pics of that late free made me wonder if the FA Cup is now subject to something similar.

The psychological impact of VAR on a linesman must be fascinating. Obviously he knew full well VAR was not “turned on” during yesterday’s game, but does a few years of having it as a back up impact your performance when it is not there? I mean that offside was so obvious it’s hard to fathom how it was missed.

There is no subconscious bias on my part. It's a fact the ref was stopped from officiating our games after a number of dodgy decisions against us. It's a few years ago now but it might have been Lee Mason?
As for the rags non offside. It wasn't even close a bloody rookie official would have flagged.

The united fans weren't celebrating the victory, they were celebrating not having to put up with another half hour of that turgid shite.

Coincidently they say the same thing but in reverse! The victims are the worst, they are convinced beyond doubt that we are in the pocket of refs-you can't all be right.
Oh and the "smaller" clubs are convinced those at the top are protected, we have been number 1 on that list for some time given we are at the top of the top.

I think we are more right than them..

The real travesty is that (a) it should never have been a free kick in the first place and (b) the linesman was in a perfect position, looking straight down the line of players before the kick was taken. At that moment there were 5 Man U players standing in offside positions, with or without VAR something should have registered with him that there was likely going to be an offside call to make. Even after Maguire had scored he could have flagged, he’d have got shit for flagging late but at least he’d have been correct. It really is difficult to chalk that one up to human error.
