FA Cup 5th round draw - Huddersfield Town (Away)

My Mrs is a Blackburn fan and their game against the rags has already been confirmed for the Sunday. Has anyone any idea when our kick off time will be confirmed?

"Within 48 hours" according to the Huddersfield Examiner

yep blackburn v rags confirmed on blackburns webpage - sunday ko time TBC
They're in Europe the Thursday before and the Wednesday after so it was always going to be on the Sunday. Spurs in Europe Thursday/Thursday so they'll be on Sunday. Arsenal in Europe Wednesday before so they'll likely be Sunday. City in Europe the following Tuesday so likely to be Saturday.

Hope so, could possible be the friday night despite us playing on the monday

Yep, I'm really not arsed that we've been drawn away again because I think this a tremendous fixture for so many reasons - not played them for ages, decent allocation, good Championship opposition meaning we'll need to be on our game, half an hour away on the train, and a good piss-up to boot. Someone further up nailed it for me - in a way it's more exciting than the Monaco home game a few days later. The only downsides that I can see are the possibility of a shit kick-off time for TV, plus it can be a dodgy place for an away fan - 15 minutes walk from the stadium to the station according to Google Maps so about 5 or 6 minutes when being chased by their firm!

You're kidding right? Have you been with City to Huddersfield previously?

City have been drawn away for six successive FA Cup ties:

Norwich, Villa, Chelsea, West Ham, Crystal Palace and Huddersfield. The odds of that happened are around 1.7% or 98.3% against.

Five of the six were against PL opposition and the last one against a top-six Championship team. The odds against that happening are also very slim at around 0.05%.

The odds in totality of that run of draws is practically off the scale.

Every match in that sequence has been won big so far by scores 3-0 to 5-0 apart from the Chelsea match where City's Youth team lost 5-1. We all know why MP played a weakened side last year because of the scheduling by the FA.
The five previous FA Cup ties were home draws so over the whole sequence there's not a lot in it.
