As usual you take the 'au contraire' position but if you ran a poll asking people if a) City didn't need TV to be king and b) should the FA Cup final be at 3.00pm then I think the huge majority would disagree with your 'opinion'. Traditions are a tradition for a reason but in this case not only is it tradition but don't you have any regard for the travelling supporter. Most people don't want a 5.30ko for a final as it means an overnight stay for many which adds to the ludicrous cost we have to pay to watch a game.Well just because it’s yours ( and plenty of other peoples ) opinion that it ‘should’ be at 3pm, it doesn’t make it so.
Plenty of traditions that I’m sure made sense at the time, would be ridiculed if they were still in place now.
Television is king these days. Whether you like it or not I’m afraid. And one way of looking at it is we would probably never have been to Wembley these last 10 years if TV in this country wasn’t king.
