FA Cup Final - 3pm KO?

As usual you take the 'au contraire' position but if you ran a poll asking people if a) City didn't need TV to be king and b) should the FA Cup final be at 3.00pm then I think the huge majority would disagree with your 'opinion'. Traditions are a tradition for a reason but in this case not only is it tradition but don't you have any regard for the travelling supporter. Most people don't want a 5.30ko for a final as it means an overnight stay for many which adds to the ludicrous cost we have to pay to watch a game.
3pm was chosen for a reason, it’s the best time and for those driving getting home whilst still daylight it’s a much easier drive than in tge dark (for FOC’s at least). Aside from that it’s just much better for all concerned bar the TV implications, all our group are more than happy with the KO Time.

I’ve booked a flight from Paris to Luton gets in at 14:10

Unlucky, just for general info if you have booked a return flight with the same airline (on the same booking) and you don’t board your outbound trip do they still cancel the return flight?

Happened to us a few years ago on an holiday to Rhodes, ended up costing a couple of hundred quid to rebook a return flight, charlatans.

I'd bet my house it's the pissing east side again [emoji37]

That said the Torch is starting to grow on me
For the 2 other times in recent memory weve played that lot at Wembley weve had the West Side. They also had the East side for their semi-final so Im hopeful we move over to the better West side.

Does anyone know which train companies will be affected by this strike? A load of us are booked in a hotel in Stevenage and we were going to get the train from there to Finsbury Park then the tube. Thameslink and Great Northern both run trains from Stevenage to Finsbury Park

That fucks up my plans somewhat....

Cheers mate - so that's everyone then!

Glad I booked my train tickets yesterday! Im sure the police will be over the moon with this, becomes almost unmanageable

Not sure if it will effect people but ColdPlay are playing the Etihad the same day,so might be a bit busy on the return of the coaches ?

I’m not really sure which ‘opinion’ you’re disagreeing with,, as I haven’t really offered one. Just pointing out the fact that television companies have huge sway over the game.

I am a travelling supporter, so of course I have regard for them.

My main point is, hark back to the days of every weekend game being 3pm Saturday all you like. But accept that without TV influence we wouldn’t be a league that attracts the best players from all over the world. We wouldn’t have as an attractive product that we have, getting sold all around the world. And we wouldn’t be attracting Middle Eastern investors putting billions of pounds in to clubs and the surrounding area.
