FA Cup SF Draw | Nott'm Forest | Sun 27 April 16:30 | ITV1

Why are other fanbases buzzing to get to Wembley and yet our fanbase is always apathetic. Yes we have been a million times, but we don't see to create any kind of buzz about going yet other clubs all get up for it
We were buzzing like a buzzy thing in 2011, when we're there every year it's not the same high.

That's just how it is doesn't mean we don't care.

You’ve answered your own question we’ve been there 30 odd times in the last decade including 2 finals against the scum. There is no novelty, it’s become a (expensive and inconvenient) duty. There is nothing special about Wembley any more. I’ll still go, but resent the fact we have to for a semifinal.

i think it's brilliant we get to finals and so on so much, i love it, but i have to concede going to Wembley for semis takes a shine off it a little.

Give a chocolate fan 50 pieces of chocolate cake and after a while they’ll be like ‘fucking chocolate cake?!’.

Give a chocolate fan starved of chocolate a piece of chocolate cake and they’ll down it in seconds and beg for more.

Don't worry. Once scruffy Jim builds the publicly funded 'wembley of the north' the semis can all be held there

Maybe so but there is no real alternative where you will get 30,000 City fans attending.
The swamp is not fit for purpose before anybody suggests that shithole.

If the match was held in Cardiff at the National stadium there would be a buzz. I'd go. I'm not going to Wembley again. And again......

New Wembley

What I like about going to Wembley.

The trip down.
Seeing City play there.
Seeing City win there.

What I hate about Wembley

Semi finals being held there
The red seats
The trip home, if we lose.
The area
The prices
The shit overpriced beer.
The shouting wanker on the PA.
The opposition, with a few exceptions. (Sunderland, Watford, Brighton)

I'll be going though.

One, we've probably played there more times in the past ten years than any other club.
Two, it's just another football stadium in a shitehole of an area that horrendous to get to and out of whatever mode of transport you choose.
Three, it's around 200 miles from Manchester. The kick off times for games there range from at the very least problematic to get home if you take the train, to impossible as the last one will have left.
Four, it's expensive. Travel cost, tickets, possible hotel cost and food and drink in and around the stadium are extortionate and generally shite.
Five, it's just a semi final and if you're lucky enough to win it you have to do it all over again at the same place, encountering all the problems and costs in my last four points.

Says Saturday 3pm but the more I think about it late Sunday seems more likely with London marathon Sunday morning??
Villa ‘may’ be in the Champions League the following week so they will play Saturday to avoid any issues - means were nailed on for the Sunday , already games scheduled for TV that day Bournemouth v United 2pm and Liverpool v Spurs 4.30pm although Sky have no rights for the FA Cup anymore so I’m presuming Sunday 3pm ITV/BBC most likely

That's not correct. The slate is wiped clean after quarter-final stage with this new yellow card rule.

I think that is misinformation originating from Forest’s own official website.

The slate is wiped after the QFs, as it is in most tournaments. The intention being that a yellow in the semi, can’t get you banned from the final.

But two yellows up to and including the QF will still result in a ban for the SF.
